This is my second one to purchase, my tax preparer even liked it said it was one of the best she had seen...it's easy to use and I just leave it in my work truck and log my miles every day and also write in my oil changes and any other maintenance, has pockets for storing maintenance receipts or repairs...I definitely recommend this if you are self employed.

I started a new job which I will get a tax form 1099 at the end of the year and this book is keeping me organized. Everything is in one place so when I turn it over to my tax accountant, I will have the documentation that is needed For my taxes

My parents use this same expense tracker for their business. My daughter has used this last year & now this year to help keep track of her mileage & expenses for her business. She likes the pockets to place receipts in for auto expenses & her business related travel.

The quality of the Adams ABFAFR12 Vehicle Mileage and Expense Journal is great.Pros:The build quality and durability of the journal is very nice. The paper used is thick and will not tear easily. The mileage book is very small and could fit in your glove department etc...Cons:The mileage journal is very small as already stated. With that being said, writing on the journal pages can require precision. This may not be the best journal for a customer that may have issues writing or seeing small digits.Overall, I am very satisfied with the journal.

Been using this for over 15 years for my business. End of year I just keep the book with my records in case of auditing. Yes, you will get audited... Simple format, Date start miles, end miles, and description line then total trip miles to the right of your entry. Bottom of page is where you put total bus miles traveled. Easy to see, easy log, room to write. I know many people use apps these days, but where electronics are concerned, it's always good to have a paper backup. Hence the log. I don't use the app, just one less password to have to remember. Pen and paper, I'm good. Old school solutions still work fine.

Easy to keep track of info with this book - and the spiral binding makes it easy to open, flip back and handle easier while entering in your info, instead of having to keep the book open while trying to write in it as well.

$17.99 is a bit pricey for a thin book but I really like that it has pockets for receipts and pages to do summary totals and capture every single one of your expenses, not just mileage. I wish the book had tabs though.

There is reallly nothing to dislike about the mileage book. It's not too small where you have make micro entries in, but not too big either where you can't just chuck it in your glove box.The mileage book covers your miles and has a section to input totals per page. Other useful section is where you can store and add gas receipts, maintenance records and renewals. If you are like me who travels around town as part of their job, this comes in handy for proof that the car is used for business. The book is also useful to those who also are curious to see how much miles they cover weekly or monthly. I am sure they will be suprised. Now the only real CON I see is the book does not have a carbon copy section like other mileage books have. To be honest, Not sure if that is a deal breaker, but I figure it needed mentioning.

This is exactly what it says it is: a simple, small vehicle mileage log for tracking for business/IRS purposes. It has some additional logs (tolls and parking) as well, as well as an expense and maintenance tracker, and pockets for receipts. It would work well for someone tracking for actual expense or the flat deduction rate. This isn't likely what you want if you're just trying to keep records on your car; it's pretty well tailored for tracking for tax purposes. The only concern I have is whether there are enough pages for the year, but I won't know that until next December.
