A great compact thermometer that is simple and easy to set up! Had this same one for several years, and it worked perfectly, until I accidentally dropped it. Searched everywhere for this same one. Most others come with all the "bells and whistles" for outdoor temp, rain, wind, but when you can get all that from your smartphone apps, I'll stick with this simple device!

Easy to read and all I really wanted it for was to tell the temperature in my garage. The little magnet on the back is strong enough to hold on to metal tube (not much contact). The humidity however seemed to be way off initially; said 37 when the one on my expensive dehumidifier said 59 however a few days later it was closer being only off by about 10. I don't really need the humidity reading so it works for me.

I have purchased Acu-rite products in the past and have had great luck with them.However, I believe this item is defective. The thermometer works perfectly, but the hygrometer shows that the humidity level is either 1% or 22%, even when by my humidifier. It consistently shows both high and low humidity levels at 1%.Unfortunately, I threw out the box and instructions for this item so I can't return it.*Edit: It's actually perfect, apparently my workplace is actually that dry.

I use this Hygrometer to cross check a basement dehumidifier. Readings are spot on. Easy to see and magnetic back allows attachment to any metal surface.

Bought mine in Jan. 2018. It's Feb 2020 and part of the display is beginning to not show. Everything is still working, just a piece of the display isn't really showing when you look at it face on. Not a huge problem considering the cheap price. Buying another one of these since it really is super easy to use, works well, has a nice stand and a magnetic bit.

I received my pack of 3 yesterday. When I inserted the batteries, i noticed that they all read considerably different temperatures. I put the 3 of them close together and left them for a few hours. I was quite amazed that when I checked on them, they all read within 0.2 degrees of each other. The temperatures read 75.1,75.1,75.3. It seems they really were calibrated before they left the factory. The humidity readings were identical on all 3.We have 3 central A/C units and i wanted to see if the A/C thermostats were correct. 2 of them were not and I recalibrated them.I feel confident that these produce very accurate temperature readings. I have never paid much attention to humidity, but as they all read the same, i know that the reference is good and i can see if one part of the house is more or less humid than other areas.Excellent product.

Simple unit that operates as advertised. I have 2 other THERMAPRO brand models that are a bit larger screen size and numbers. Also they have stronger magnets. But this AcuRite unit is good for basic readings and info. Temperature seems accurate sitting next to the 2 other Hygrometers we have side by side. But all 3 differ 2-5% humidity levels?Don't expect perfect laboratory calibrated gauges with this for the money.

I use it check the humidity and temperature in the room where I kept my birds as they have special requirements. I worked as soon as I put the battery in. What is nice is that, it tells me the full range for the day.

Very happy with this device. Works properly in a variety of settings, indoors, outdoors, refrigerator. Closed container. The hi/lo feature is a real plus! A very good magnet on the back that holds well. Comes with a single AAA battery. Mine has been working for more than 5 months on the same battery with no issues at all.

ordered the 2 pack Digital Hygrometer and Thermometer after installing battery and letting units stabilize to room for a few hours they both displayed identical temperatures and humidity. occasionally one would be off a degree but then would go back to both displaying identical information. be aware battery comes in a little baggie but is also tightly wrapped in clear plastic hard to notice at first and units didn't work until I noticed the clear plastic covering + - terminals on battery. have not compared accuracy with a different gauge so cant say if displaying true temps but both display same temp so it suites my needs.
