Nice thick steel - thicker than I expected, and otherwise good materials and workmanship. I wish that it locked (but it doesn't claim to). It works great for 5x7 cards.I noticed that another reviewer complained that the plastic divider didn't fit - I didn't use mine, so I'm not sure about that - and now I can't find it ...

I have a 900+ card collection of 4x6 notecards I've been saving for the last 30 years. It is so hard to find big card boxes for oversized notecards, there is plenty in all sizes for 3x5 cards but anything bigger is hard to find. That is why I was so pleased to order this metal box. When it arrived, it was much bigger than I thought it was going to be, but man, is it a great stoage box. The metal is so much stronger and less fragile than wood, and it is so roomy, it fit all 900+ of my cards right away with room for 100 more, if I throw away the plastic divider. It even comes with indexes to fit the box. I am going to use this box for filing on my desk, it looks good and the clear plastic top is designed well. There are rubber pads on the track to keep the lid from crashing down into the plain metal and keeps the lid from cracking. The lid does not seal the cards in, in one photo you can see the air gap between the metal box and the start of the plastic lid. So if you need something waterproof or to keep outdoors, you have to keep looking. But this is perfect for an office or school environment. I really like the quality of this and will keep an eye out for this company!

Well built, sturdy. Divider is too tall by about 3mm (.125" or 1/8"), lid does not close all the way. QC sticker is inside the pamphlet but the quality of the overall product was obviously not checked.Need a replacement divider. Company is in Brazil. Can't see a way to contact them.
