These are good. I have some Shimano ones that are better, but they also cost more. However, I do use these to bundle more than 2 rod and reels.

I have similar straps used to hold the two halves of my fishing poles together and I must say that these are much better then what I was currently using. They are slightly more than one inch wide and just over nine inches long. The width is wider than expected and will do a much better job than those which have a narrower width. Nine inches long is just a little more than needed to be able to wrap around my fishing poles at the smaller ends but of sufficient length to be sure that I can use them to fasten my poles at the wide end closer to the fishing reel. The straps have a slit in them to allow you to slide it over one of the ferrules if you so choose to do so.The outside of the straps are made from a felt like material that the Velcro strip grabs onto quite strongly. It takes a little effort to pull them back apart, so I expect them to maintain a tight grip when in use.The underside of the straps have a rubber like material with a slightly rough finish. The material under these straps will provide a nice grip on my poles and the softness of the material will be sure they do not damage the paint on my fishing tackle when tightened around them. The straps I have now are basically just a fabric strip with velcro on the end. The material used on these is much better quality and I'm happy to have found them. At just over 80 cents per strap it's quite a bargain and well worth the money

These work great to keep your fishing poles together and safe. The neoprene backing helps to protect the poles and help to hold them. They are adjustable to almost any size. We really like that they are soft and padded. The only complaint we have is that they are a little too big for our ultra light poles, we have to wrap them around several times to get them small enough. But this is a small issue. I would recommend these to anyone.

These straps are to replace some aging straps I had. I like these ones better than the old ones for a couple reasons. This is not meant to be a comparison, but the differences helped me clarify in my mind what I like and dislike about them.1. These are shorter than my old ones. Shorter is actually better because the longer ones have to be wrapped around the rod or rods several times, even more than is necessary to hold the rods. So I can wrap and unwrap the rods more quickly.2. These straps are wider: wider makes them a little stiffer. This gives the strap wrap that same overall holding power because they are harder to stretch.3. These ones have a slit on one end for allowing the ferrule to be located. This helps prevent some damage to the ferule but also helps keep the wrap from moving around. The Velcro patch seems the right length to grab the fuzzy colored cover, while not being too long to cause stiffness when wrapping around the rod or rods.As for cons, these straps do have a bit of a chemical/rubber smell fresh out of the packaging. [The smell resembles that of neoprene like in a wet suit. The description does not say what the material is for sure.] However that smell dissipates fairly quickly and can only be smelled if you hold the stap to your nose.I like these straps. I guess it's not fair to complain that 10 is never enoguh...
