The gauge stopped working, replaced sender with this unit. It acted like reverse polarity; when key on needle went to top of pressure, then dropped after it started. 2002 Tundra, 4.7.

It solved a longstanding oil leak on my ‘09 Subaru Forrester. On this vehicle, they are extremely easy to change. I was very glad my repair shop had refused to fix the front crank seal, as that is where I thought the leak was.

I was on my way to take my Subaru through emissions when my check engine light came on (figures). I have a code reader so I flipped around and headed back home to dig into the issue. My car was running just fine I didn't notice any issues, but got a P0026 error code, looked it up and found a very helpful and easy to follow video explaining how to test out if this is the issue and then how to replace it. Ordered the parts and waited, went to start my car the next day to get to work and she was acting funny so I decided to let her rest until these were replaced.I don't have all the fancy tools in the video to test out the parts, so I just hoped that replacing it would do the trick. The video mentioned it's usually the switch that causes the code but it could also be the solenoid, and it included the links to both parts (again very helpful, highly recommend). Buying both was about $49 so I figured I'd just do both, again no fancy tools to test it out. I replaced the engine oil pressure switch and the valve timing solenoid (HY-SPEED 718-162 Naturally Aspirated Engine Camshaft Variable Oil Control Valve Timing VVT Solenoid 10921AA040 917-246 Compatible with B9 Tribeca 3.0L Forester Impreza Legacy Outback 2.5L). My baby is back up and running, and actually feels a little more zippy than she did before so that's neat. I might replace the other side see if it gives her new life.The YouTube video was by NoNonesenseKnowHow, I've used his videos twice now as reference to doing my own repairs.

The original Denso failed after 11 years and 215,000km. This one fit right up and worked like a charm. Time will tell if it lasts. Fits Venza 3.5L , FJ Cruiser 4.0L, and 4runner 4.0L
