Very handy size when measuring small items. I rarely need 6” caliper. I have compared accuracy with my digital caliper and it is spot on.

I was a little disappointed when I realized that the 4” doesn't have a thumb wheel - something I find makes measurements more accurate - completely my fault for not noticing.As with all of them, I popped the dial cover off and centered the needle and face to satisfy my OCD tendencies. Great for the price and passed calibration no problem.

When I first opened the plastic case and took out the caliper. I was a little disappointed that the dial markings were a little difficult to read but then I realized that there was a protective plastic film on the gage face. Once I removed that, it was perfect! Real nice instrument. Well constructed and accurate. Great value!

These are some very nice calipers. Im surprised of the quality for the money. Glad I got them and would defintly but again. Going to get a set for my daughter who makes jewelry.

Super nice little caliper for general purpose work. Mine was accurate to -.0005" on a 1" gauge bloc and dead on on a .5" block. It feels great in the hand although I wish it had a thumb wheel for dialing it in and out. The bronze dial ring is a nice aesthetic touch. Yes, it is not as good as my US made Starrett, but for most of what I do this little guy is great!

Summary: I read other reviews which lamented over the lack of a roller wheel.Pros: Good fit & finish.Cons: the lack of a roller wheel makes it a little harder to use. You can get used to it, but it isn't intuitive if you've always used a dial caliper with a wheel.

Don't expect the same high quality as that found in American made calipers such as Starrett - but they are good enough and cost considerably less. Accuracy is spot on, and the small size makes them useful in confined spaces. Sliding action is relatively smooth and, for the most part, pleasing. Lack of a real thumbwheel (there is only a roundish nub to push/pull on) is the only real drawback.
