This dimmer works great with Brizled LED Rope Lights,18ft 216 LED String Lights with Clear PVC Tube 120V, that I also bought on Amazon. The rope LED lights were too bright. The dimmer allows me to dim them.

Plugged three strands of string lights into this dimmer and within one day it had stopped working. When I checked it out it had melted the side which made me glad I had unplugged it before possibly starting a fire. I would not buy this as I feel it is a hazard.

Wired in units for my 18-volt DC outdoor lighting along front landscape and along driveway. One unit works as intended. The other unit will not come on without a finger touch. Lighting system is on a photoelectric control. These dimmer switches lowered light output for a much softer look! Like them!

This is an extremely low-quality device, crudely made and not very attractive. The lamp flickers at low settings and jumps in brightness as the knob is turned instead of gradually getting brighter. Intermediate settings are difficult if not impossible to obtain.The Lutron PD-3PCL-WH (also sold by Amazon) is more expensive at $54.95, but well worth the price. It’s a beauty: well designed and exquisitely manufactured. And it works! By the way, although not obvious from the description, it will function as a stand-alone and does not requre a remote control. You can plug two lamps into it (one on each side) or choose the appropriate side for a one-lamp installation. It measures 2-3/16” wide, 3-1/8” high and 1-3/16” deep. It’s unobtrusive and very attractive.
