This works well as a motor speed control. I got it for slowing down a fan that was too loud at its lowest speed; unfortunately, the controller itself makes some noise, which was louder than the slowed-down fan. That may be inevitable, and wouldn't be a problem if I weren't using it for a nighttime setting.

I used this to slow down my MY-TE AB100 winch. This is a fraction of the cost of the Manufacturer's comparable product. It worked well and allowed me to adjust the voltage to 89 VAC before the winch would stop. Enough voltage drop to slow down the winch to an acceptable speed for my project. I have also hooked it up to a fan. It slows the fan down to an acceptable noise level.

Purchased for a router table. The speed control seems to be pretty rough, just barely better than an on/off switch. This doesn't inspire confidence in it. I'm going to remove it.Updated 2 stars to 5 based on a very good customer service experience. Yes this didn't work for me, however the seller reached out and offered a swap or refund (this was after the return window) I opted for the refund. I gotta say it was quick and easy. Seller's customer service makes it a 5 star.

The purpose of the product was to power and control a 1/2 horse motor but it would not start the motor. It’s possible that there is a problem with the motor.

Compact and easy to use voltage controller. Used with a shop vacuum and an angle grinder and it works very well with both. Sometimes I just need a small vacuum flow for wood or drywall dust and this way it’s not so loud and the vacuum outlet is not causing a dust storm in the room. With speed control of the angle grinder I’m able to use it as a saw with proper speed for cutting a material. Only owned and used a short time so can’t speak to reliability yet.

Works great , exactly what i needed , my electric hand sander was way too fast to be useful. with this speed control unit my electric hand sander is very useful. i use it mostly for auto & motorcycle paint work !
