Perfect for the project I’m working on. Cutting with scroll saw was easy. Thickness spot on.

These 2 plastic sheets arrived packaged extremely well. Not only were they shrink wrapped together, but all 4 corners had corner guards on them to prevent chipping while in shipment. The sheets themselves have one smooth side, and one textured side. The smooth side also has a peal-able plastic cover to prevent scratches. I used one of these sheets to make an adapter for a GPS car mount, and didn't need the texture - in fact I was using epoxy so I needed a flat surface. The texture is fairly shallow so it was easy to sand off with an orbital sander. The sheet cut easily and cleanly using a jigsaw with a laminate blade. I'm very satisfied with these plastic sheets. If they were a little less expensive, it would be even better!

I bought two sheets of the 18"x24" 6mm thick Abs to fabricate some speaker adapters and it worked well. I used a brand new CMT orange tools 1/4" flush trim bit and chamfer bit and the machined finish came out OK. You can see some machining marks but these adapters will not be seen and for the price it is hard to beat. It cuts best at a slow speed. Drills and taps very well also.

This is a very high-quality quarter-inch-thick ABS sheet from a conscientious supplier. As advertised, the shiny sides are protected by a cover sheet. Also, as you can see in one of my photos, the corners of the sheets are protected by guards for shipping. After buying another brand of quarter-inch-thick ABS to add an instrument sub-panel to my Mazda, I found that textures on plates from other suppliers are wholly unsuitable for blending remotely close into pre-existing OEM automotive interiors. As seen in my other color photo, the “Other Brand” plate at right has a very coarse and directional texture that is never seen in automotive settings. Moreover, despite the texture’s coarseness, it was ridiculously shiny on both the crests and troughs of the texture.👍 However, as you can see in the left-right comparison image, the Kaitela plate has a finer random texture with a duller sheen, making it highly suitable for add-on sub-panels in automotive instrument panels so they don’t stand out like a sore thumb. As denoted by the orange arrow in figure 4, even the finer texture of the Kaitela plates—relative to competing brands—is still noticeably coarser than Mazda dash components… and it is likely coarser than most other automotive dashes. Note the OEM textures surrounding the newly added instrument sub-panel. But Kaitela’s texture doesn’t stand out like a sore thumb.A note regarding plate thicknesses: I recently purchased ABS plates from two different suppliers on Amazon. In the case of ⅛ʺ-thick plates, I’ve found they are close to 0.125ʺ. But twice now, the “¼-inch” thicknesses have been within 0.0015 inch of 6.00 mm (0.236–0.2375ʺ vs. 0.250ʺ). This disparity isn’t worth docking any stars, particularly since the plates are advertised here with a parenthetical “(6mm),” but the plates actually appear to be “hard metric” where the inch dimension is the approximation; it’s a detail to consider for exacting applications.👎 The only real downside is my Kaitela plates had a noticeable waviness on a 1½ʺ pitch (see the B&W photo), which is a significant downside if you expect to have the shiny side exposed. However, I wouldn’t dock the Kaitela even a half-star over this because I suspect most buyers will want the textured side facing out.

Used to mount a couple of amplifiers in my truck. Easy to cut with a circular saw.
