They seem to be proper calibration. They worked perfectly for the Valve Adjustment Clearance on my Honda Odyssey.

I've already use these at my work for valve adjustments and after each adjustment the car starts and sounds like it should. I only use them for that so if you're looking to buy for other reasons I cant say they work for anything else. I haven't used them in other ways. But they are very accurate for me.

Very good quality and accuracy. Used it to adjust the valves on my 2003 Honda Pilot and that was about 25,000 miles ago. Still purring like a kitten so the readings must be right.

These are neither precise nor consistent, but they are functional for things like adjusting valve clearance. I would return these if I was using them for machine work. I picked some blades at random and mic'd them. The .020 was good at .0204. The .019 was .0184, and the .018 was .0182 - horrible. The .005 was ok at .0052. The .010 was spot on at .0100. The .015 was .0155, not good.None of these errors would make a difference on a valve job, which is what I bought this for, and I re-etched them with the correct measurement so at least I know the actual thickness.Overall quality aside from dimensions is good, no rough edges, thickness is consistent across the blade length. The hinge uses a nut and bolt so you can not only adjust tension, but you can remove the blades for cleaning, or put them in a different order.

OK...i got these on time and got to use them on my Honda...inspected and adjusted and then i ran it a while...had one i think occasionally standing open so, i adjusted up by one thousandth of an inch to make sure i had good clearance and, it occured to me to check the gauges...since i have a micrometer and 1/1000th calibrated caliper that i use for doing reloads, etc...the .008 is right on...the .009 is a little over .009 and the .010 is actually less than .009? What is up with that? i checked the .012 and it is ok so for now, I'm going to use the .009 for the intake and the .012 for the exhaust and see how we do, tight on the gauge should result in a good setting...since intake is .008-.010 and exhaust is .011-.013. But this leads me to want to return these...it frightened me when i checked them...

This worked well for a valve clearance adjustment. I first used my old, straight gauges and had difficulty because of clearance issues. I then bought these and re-did the job and found two valves were too loose! I did check them with a dial caliper and found the ones I had to use to be between 0 and 3 ten thousandths of an inch accurate in thickness and that's close enough for me. They were oily as some others have stated, but how else do you keep bare steel from rusting?

I don't know what to say about this. I've been asked for a review of the product 3 times since I received it. I have not used it yet. I did take it out of the package and as expected, it is coated in an oil to protect it. It has sharp edges. Also somewhat expected. I didn't buy the most expensive one because I hope I won't have to use it more than once. I have cut myself twice on it, but, then again when I use it to work on my car, I will most likely be wearing protective gloves. It is no less than reported and no less than I expected. It didn't have anything above and beyond which is the reason for 4 stars rather than 5. I can't fault it though, very cost effective.
