Makes making flares almost idiot proof.

I purchased this brake line flaring tool as I have a restoration project on the go and from past experience with the little hand clamp tool I had, I know I wanted something better. This tool is definitely better. For all you home repair mechanics, even starting ones, get this tool and make you life easier. The flares are consistent and repeatable. Do yourself a favour and get the deburring tool also. It is a must to have a square cut on the tubing and the cut ends properly prepared before flaring.

Got this for a good price, it's stability is good when mounted in my bench vise. It does multiple sizes of flares. It's performance and appearance are out standing.

This brake flare tool works great there was a couple poor reviews but I think people just don’t understand how this tool work’s…. instructions could be better but it’s very simple1st set up the clamps with the proper line size snug it up tight enough to where the line stays put but loose enough to where the locating die can set the proper flare height2nd select the flat face die and press the line in to proper position and tighten your clamp tight so the line will not move3rd select the proper flare and press it4th buy countersunk bits and debur your flare for better sealing5th enjoy your new line flaring tool and throw the junk auto parts flare kit in the trash

I am so so happy with this brake flaring tool!! And this was an awesome deal as well!! I feel like I scored an amazing tool at literally half the price- compared to the ones I see advertised online and compared to the tools that my friends have previously bought online!! And this one works just as smoothly, if not even better!!!! And major plus- it comes with a hard shell carrying case!!!!10 /10 - definitely recommend this for anyone that needs this type of tool!!!!Very durable as well....

I made 3/16" steel brake lines that had a DIN flare on one end and a SAE flare on the other end. The quality of the flares produced is indistinguishable from OEM.The first two pictures are DIN flares. The second two pictures are SAE flares. In each case the tube ends were square, chamfered inside and out and well lubricated with brake fluid.Generally the tool worked well. The instructions are cryptic. A ball detent fell away which was an annoyance. It takes a lot of force to produce the flares, even in this small tube size.I recommend this tool. If your results don't look like this, the fault is likely the brake line material. I discovered this using the 4LIFETIMELINES copper nickel brake lines, which did not form properly.

I have been flaring brake and fuel line tubing the old fashioned way for many many years. I have looked at this same kit from Eastwood for several years but the high price kept me rom pulling the trigger. Well ladies and gentlemen, I'm pretty sure this is the same exact kit as the Eastwood and although not cheap, it is affordable. It allows you to make single flare, bubble flare and double flares with great accuracy and very little setup. It flares 3/16, 1/4, 5/16 and 3/8 tubing and can do stainless or soft tube. The turret design of the head makes it as easy as 1,2,3. If you want quick and consistent tube flares, buy this kit, You will not regret it.

Non-car guy here but own a very small fleet of vehicles. First time ever replacing a brake line on a pickup. I initially bought one of the $50-something kits that includes cutter, bender and burr remover. After 8 tries I hadn't made a double flare correctly even once. Something was always a bit off center, the flare was wonky, no matter what I did or how careful I was, and the teeth the held the brake line in place gouged the heck out of the line, requiring filing to even get the fitting to slide over it.Bent a die and the handle (badly) in the process, decided to return that kit and order this one.Followed the instructions (followed a video of an identical model, as the written instructions were not really clear), and on the first try made a perfect double-flare on 3/16" steel. Thinking it was a fluke I tried again. Perfect double flare. Tried 3 more times, taking a little less caution each time, and each time it came out perfect. With that I placed my 6' long, 30-bend brake line into the tool, and again, perfect double flares at each end. With any of the under-$60 kits you'd have to already be very talented at flaring brake lines to get a proper flare. I'm not a rookie around tools, but I'm not a mechanic. With this tool, if you follow the pretty easy to understand instructions, it'd be tough to muck it up. More than I wanted to spend, but worth the money.
