This is our second canopy tent. This one is priced only slightly higher than the other one we have, but is nicer as far as functionality - the other canopy has no netting or roof overhang. Since I was already familiar with putting up a canopy tent, putting this one up by myself was a breeze and only took about 2 minutes - without the netting. It took longer to wrestle it out of the box and bag. (I don't really foresee it ever going back in the bag, but I'll update this review if that turns out to be possible.) As the title of this review suggests - the actual canopy has about a foot of overhang all the way around the edge and the actual legs of the canopy are just a little over 10 feet per side.We use these outside to get out of the sun in the summer since we live in an area where the summer heat feels like it is only about 10 degrees less than the surface of the sun. We have it up close to the house so it not only provides some shade in an otherwise shadeless back yard, but the shade the canopy provides extends into our house, so that helps with cooling costs the tiniest little bit. Our misting system will help too when the time comes.To "tie" the legs down, I use a 5 gallon gas can on each leg that is filled with slightly wet sand with a few teaspoons of bleach added. The cans are strapped to the legs with hook and loop straps and tied to the canopy framework at the top of the pole with a rope. This is only a solution for fairly light wind and the weights are only there in case we get wind gusts during the night. We collapse the canopy whenever the gusts get over about 30 mph. It would probably take a little more wind than that for the canopy to get airborne, but we're not taking the chance. Each leg of the tent is adjustable, so if you are on uneven terrain and need one leg shorter or longer, that's doable.Overall, this canopy is a good value and I would recommend it for backyards. NOTE - It probably doesn't meet the requirements for a lot of swap meets, so you should check out their individual rules before schlepping one of these all the way down to the parking lot only to find out the swap meet you are selling at doesn't allow a canopy with so much roof overhang. The very thing that makes it great for the backyard makes it harder to use an a swap meet or farmer's market.I'm going to guess there's about 2 years of life in the actual canopy material in our area. If you live in a VERY sunny and hot area like we do, the more it's out in the kind of sun that just sucks the life out of you, the shorter the life span. If your temps don't exceed 70-75 deg F, you might even get 5 years out of the canopy with the proper care - like cleaning it and storing it inside in a dry area for the winter months. The frame itself is on the more heavy duty side. Much better than the canopies in the $80-$100 range.

Alright, so I picked up this ABCCANOPY 13x13 pop-up gazebo, and I gotta say, it's pretty decent for the price. I needed something to keep the bugs away when we're hanging out on the patio, and this definitely does the job.First Impressions:The dark gray color looks sharp, not cheap or shiny.It comes in a decent carrying bag, makes it easy to haul around.The frame feels reasonably sturdy, but it's not gonna withstand a hurricane.Setup:Okay, this is where I needed a little help. They say "instant" but let's be real, you're gonna want at least one other person, especially the first time. It's not rocket science, but spreading that 13x13 frame is a bit of a stretch solo.The instructions? They're...there. You might have to use a bit of common sense, but it’s not overly complex.The mosquito netting zips on easily, and it's nice and fine, keeps even the tiny bugs out.Usage:Once it's up, it's great. Plenty of room for a table and chairs, or just lounging around.The netting creates a nice, enclosed space, perfect for evenings.It provides decent shade, keeps the sun off you.The zippers are fairly robust, and the netting has held up well so far.Things to Note:You're gonna want to stake it down properly, especially if there's any wind. It's a big surface area, and it can catch a breeze.It's not a permanent structure. Don't expect it to last forever if you leave it out in the elements year-round.The roof material is strong, but I would not trust it in a downpour. It is water resistant, not waterproof.Overall:For backyard parties, camping trips, or just chilling on the patio, this ABCCANOPY gazebo is a solid option. It's not perfect, and you'll probably need a hand setting it up, but it gets the job done. It keeps the bugs out, provides shade, and looks good doing it. If you're looking for an affordable, portable screened shelter, this is a good choice.

I have had a lot of these canopies. I get enticed by the "pop up" or easy setup. I have it on my deck and figure when it gets windy, I'll just take it down because it is so easy. Don't fall for it. Not for this one, not for any of these. I end up trying it to the deck, bungee, sand/water weights. Undoubtedly the wind eventually picks it up and destroys it.This is just as good as any other one I bought. To get one for less than $200 is a good deal. I really need the netting to keep out the bugs and those are always more expensive. If you don't need that like I do then you can choose another. If you need it then this is a good option.As far as being 13x13. technically that is true but like all venders they mislead. It is 13x13 with a 3 foot overhang, which makes the interior 10x10. That is an enormous difference when trying to put a table and chairs and still have room to walk around. Sure the extra 3 feet may keep the interior dry but in most cases I use it to block the sun not the rain. Also if the interior was 13x13 you would still have a 10x10 dry space. Don't get fooled by the overhand measurement. Again they all do it, not just the one.
