I ordered these to test a few products that I’d ordered online that came from china, and thankfully each of the swabs remained yellow showing no lead! I also tested it on a few pieces of older furniture that I’ve been wanting to refinish, and the swab turned really red indicating lead, which checks out since old furniture often has lead in the paint. So these seem to work well and it’s given me peace of mind knowing my rugs & sheets are lead free

I recently purchased a pack of these lead test swabs, which are supposed to turn mustard yellow only after activation. However, upon opening the package, I found that the swabs had already changed color before use, raising serious concerns about their reliability and accuracy. We returned the first batch and received a replacement, only to encounter the exact same issue again. Given the critical importance of accurate lead testing for health and safety, this is deeply concerning and unacceptable.

I bought the 20 piece kit to test for some unmarked glassware and some old dishes I was thinking about using. I found the test really easy to use and there wasn't any doubt that there was no lead problem.

I’ve used this a couple times now to test a couple pieces of thrifted glass and dinnerware prior to using it and it’s worked great! I’ve had it test both positive for lead and negative for lead on separate pieces. It’s very easy to read both results thanks to the vibrant color change.

The swabs are already a dark mustard yellow, so I used multiple swabs in order to confirm my process was accurate as directions said. Click on cup picture and though the coloring of swabs is still mustard yellow, you can see a distict pink color. My Stantley's button on bottom has never been broken and theyve never been in the dishwasher. The white one has been used for over 2 years and black one a year. I'm a nurse and now I need to worry about lead consumption and potential long-term health concerns for my son and myself, if any. Are these swabs truly valid? Giving 4 stars since I'm unsure of validity of swabs. I'm still trying to research. Help!?

Bought these to test my teacups and make sure they were safe, out of 5 tested cups, only two were positive including one from the 1940s/50s. The left two are negative results and the right two are the positive ones. Will definitely be buying more of these

I was going to send back because it wasn't reacting to any of my old corelle dishes and what my mother told me was a lead-glass bowl we use for display. It didn't react at all.I decided to test on some lead fishing sinks. It immediately changed colour sharply.Learned some things.
