The AA-Racks DX36 Series is a ladder rack system compatible Ford Transit vans from 2008-2013(Drilling required for installation). Have a Rubber seat for superior protection. Hardware package comes with bolts, nuts & washers; as well as the polyfoam gasket for installation.

This set works well. I did the installation in about an hour, but could probably have done it in half that time if I were really working at it.Points to be aware of:- the instructions are minimal, though there are good illustrations. So it's up to you to do it right.- The rubber pads that go between the rack mounts and the car roof are wedge-shaped, which is good. Be sure to put them the right way to accommodate the difference between the roof slant and the flat mount.- you must somehow get under the interior headliner of the car, to mount the backing plate with its pad directly to the steel roof. In my case the headliner is old and already in bad shape so I just used the backing plate as a pattern to cut holes in the headliner. But it's a bit challenging to get the sticky pads up into that hole to fit over the bolts. I cut small holes in the pads first, which did help.I've used the thing a few times, to carry 2x4s and a sailboat. The tie-down hooks are quite useful.Another thing to be aware of if you are planning to install kayak/canoe racks or bike racks. These cross bars are round, and a majority of the racks won't work with round cross bars. So when buying such racks, go through the descriptions to make sure their clamps work with round cross bars.One thing I plan to do is use a bit of the left over sealant to close the small gap between the end of the large cross bar and the small bar inside it, to keep moisture and wear from causing rust.

Very sturdy for a great price and shipped fast. Packaged great. Came with all the hardware and two tubes of sealant. I use 2” black pipe for front and rear to make rolling on stuff easier.

Very sturdy product and easy to install after holes were made in roof of transit van. Did not use the stock mounting location from ford. Great product for the price. Easy platform to mount ladder and pipes container. Would recommend.

It's an value minded rack. It's not going to carry 2 ton of stuff, but for a couple of ladders, it'll do the job. Coating is sub-par, but it's thick enough material that it should last a bit.

I just installed this over the weekend and it was easy, sturdy, and looks good. I have not tested it long term but the instructions were simple to follow. I am a mechanic so fabrication comes easy to me but I do feel anyone can follow the instructions and install the rack in a day depending on how hard it is to get to your headliner. I am going to order a 64" rook basket to fit into this rack. The sides that extend higher than the bars will hold the basket just right, and provide extra support for heavy loads.

1) I'm a newb and I installed the hardware as the instructions indicate. This was a bad idea.While tightening the bolts it indented my roof under the rack mounts by pulling it down.Use rivet nuts/threaded inserts instead. Save yourself a TON of work and not dent your roof.2) The cross bars/pipes slide together which makes it universal but when you tighten the lug it creates a 1 cm gap between the two "pipes". Water is going to get in there for sure. Unless that was what the extra pieces of rubber were for..3) The instructions could have been better
