Hot Rolled Mild Steel Round Bar is made of low carbon steel similar to C1018. Unlike cold rolled steel, Hot Rolled Steel has a rougher surface and with galvanization, it can resist corrosion well. A36 offers good weldability, machinability, and can be heat treated to harden its surface. Diameters are produced oversized to finish to listed size. Excellent for projects on the lathe!
