A few reviews said they didn't fit on their Dremel brand rotary tool, but they work just fine on mine. Much cheaper than the name brand ones too. Held my smaller diameter bits in place.

Using a Dremel is always great fun, but not so much the different size collets needed to support the bit shafts. Having these collets all in one place and all different sizes makes it so much easier to work. Before, if I used a buffing bit, I would have to tape the shaft to make it fit. Gratefully, now that's no longer the case. Great set for the money.

Completely useless! Check out the photos (these show the two 1mm collets close up, one of the 2.4mm collets (the edge obscured by the 1mm drill (see fourth photo to understand)), and the whole set with a 1mm drill across the top and a ruler for reference). See how off centre the holes are for the two 1mm collets? And it matters, putting a 1mm bit in to these, tightening and rotating, the tip of the bit describes a tiny circle, it's awful! It's obviously harder to see how well centred the larger ones are, but it's clear that one of the 2.4mm collets (third photo) looks a bit squashed, not sure if this is bad engineering or post manufacture damage.Additionally the length of the collet that grips the bit is very very short, I actually initially thought this was the whole problem (a short grip, like a pincer, means it's possible for the bit to have lateral play or be set off centre easily) until I took close up images and could see the collets properly. The grip seems less than 1mm long though it's hard to see since it's internal; I couldn't measure it accurately without breaking off one of the claws, which I'm not going to do as I will be returning the product. Finally, it's clear that the product photos are clean and precise, and clearly are not photos of what I've had delivered.

I should have realized that these parts, coming from China, would be a lesser quality than the original Dremel parts. They do fit, but are obviously lighter in weight, strongly suggesting that they are made from a lesser quality or lesser processed steel. They simply feel shoddy. Since they will be used on a high-speed Dremel too, I have doubts that they will be able to withstand any hard or rugged use. However, only time will tell as to their overall quality and longevity. Remember, you get what you pay for.

I've got several different size rotary tool bits, but only one tool, a Black & Decker RTX. Had a project that I needed to use some of my smaller bits, but the collet on the RTX was too large. Looked at buying a new rotary tool, but didn't want to spend the money. Saw these collets on the scroll bar and gave them a shot. They fit the RTX perfectly, were easy easy easy to install, and they covered all the different size bits I had! So great when I can get the perfect product/solution at such a great price! They've already more than paid for themselves! Really quick delivery, great price and a great product!

They don't fit in the Dremel correctly, they are too large a diameter to fit in the Dremel, but that is okay if you are willing to sand a bit off with some emery cloth or wet/dry sandpaper. I chucked them up in a 1/2 inch variable speed drill but a smaller drill would have been better. I noticed I didn't have to pinch the ends in order to hold them in, I could keep the bits in the chuck by keeping pressure on them while I was sanding, it just took a minute. The stainless steel is really brass, chrome plated and not magnetic. The brass ones may in fact be thinner because of no plating. Either way, if they are too thick to fit in the Dremel you can thin it to fit perfectly with some 80 grit emery cloth or similar. I did it with a trickle of water over a sink!
