Don't let the manufacturer name keep you away this card my testing concluded this essentially functions on par with quality of an actual LSI card.In BIOS this card shows up as:LSI SAS3 MPT Controller SAS3224LSI SAS3 MPT Controller Version 18.00.03.00Chip Name: SAS3224 Rev 1Firmware Type: ITFirmware Version: 16.0.12.0Default NVData Version: 10.0.0.3Persistent NVData Version: 10.0.0.3I have 4/6 channels occupied currently with 15 HDDs. The card comes in IT mode and it even has an option in it's menus to disable legacy BIOS mode which is fantastic if you don't have a need for this disable this and your boot times will be significantly faster! Strongly recommend getting a larger card right out of the gate this card replaced the predecessor which was a LSi 9300-8i, this card will give you room for growth. Caution this card does run hot so if you have a cramped space make sure you have adequate cooling.
