The onboard IC is a Diodes Incorporated PI6C20400 PCIE 3.0 Clock redriver / clock buffer. The card works, but the low passive component count (when compared, e.g. to alternatives of 10Gtek) is somewhat concerning, especially when pushing boundaries to PCIe 4.0.A nice touch is that there are no back-side components, reducing space requirements of this card.Despite the apparent low component count, 4 PCIe 3.0 SSDs work well when attached with a Supermicro SlimSAS 8i to MiniSAS HD cable.
