Works well, but no stand included. It is clear in the listing that that is the case, but the umbrella WILL wobble without the stand, so it's necessary to have one. Had to purchase separately afterwards. That being said, the umbrellas and stands all seem to be universal, so if you have a stand already, you can purchase multiple of this umbrella and interchange. The price is definitely right.

I'd been using a small, old outdoor umbrella that I inherited from my mother. After 2 years of that, I decided to upgrade to a larger, nicer umbrella.First off, the color on this umbrella really pops! It's also made of decent metal parts that are coated with paint or powder coat. My old umbrella had bare metal and became very rusted so this is an improvement worth noting.The umbrella tilts and easily clicks back upright. The crank mechanism works great, and it didn't accidentally spin backwards and collapse on its own or anything. If I had a complaint, you have to really torque the crank to get the umbrella ultra-open, then push up another millimeter by hand, to get the pin inserted in the holes to guarantee that the umbrella stays open. See pic 6 that I uploaded to visualize. I didn't need to insert the pin but I suppose you're supposed to for safety or whatnot.Overall, though, I'm super-pleased with the quality and color and size and price -- currently $52.99 -- of this umbrella. I hope you like yours as much as I like mine.

I'm basing this review of the AreShark 9 FT Patio Umbrella on the fact that the beige color I ordered was just under $40 at time of this review. For the price this is an amazing deal for the quality you get.Everything is constructed of good quality material. The ribs and post appear to be aluminum with steel rivets at all moving connections. A paracord type rope is used on the crank mechanism to open and close the umbrella. The best part about this umbrella is the heavy fabric it's made out of. Most budget market umbrellas have a very lightweight fabric canopy. This one is much heavier and will last longer. It comes with a keeper pin to use after you've raised the umbrella all the way up, which I assume is a safety feature in case the paracord was to fail.Side by side comparison with my old umbrella that I'm replacing this one with - They both look practically identical, except this new one has the heavier fabric canopy and a more solid top cap for far less than I paid for the old one 10 years ago.I wouldn't hesitate to order more of these.

i bought this umbrella to replace an existing one which has basically been torn apart by time and elements. of course when i received it i quickly realized that the old one was 7.5ft and this one was 9ft. usually this is grounds for a return, but i was so impressed with the build quality of this umbrella that i'm going to keep it and will be relocating the table to a larger space.assembly is a matter of just clicking the upper part to the lower part. done. maybe 10 seconds to install. the fabric is very thick and it says there's uv coating, which is huge as my old one did NOT have this and therefore basically disintegrated. there's a vent section and it's rated for heavy winds (40mph i believe). to adjust there's a pretty heavy duty handle and it comes with an attached safety pin for fixing the umbrella in place so it doesn't slide down or move. there's also a multiple position tilt feature that i will be making great use of.idk what else to say other than as i said, my old umbrella was in pieces when i took it down and cost 3x what this areshark cost and based on the build quality will no doubt last me 3x as long as that old one. THAT, my friends, is a winning combination in my book. Recommended

This is a really nice, heavy duty umbrella, especially for the price. The build quality seems very good, the fabric is high quality, and it's pretty heavy! It's perfect for our deck. Just make sure you have a good umbrella stand, as I can see this catching the wind and causing all kinds of havoc if it's not held down well.If you order this, be careful with the color you order. I ordered burgundy, and it's actually bright red. Not muted red, or dark red, but bright fire engine red. I would like to assume it was mis-marked by the Chinese company that made it, but it might have been picked wrong by Amazon, as there was nothing on the box that indicated color. Not a huge deal, but it's your money, and you should get what you ordered, not what was arbitrarily sent. This issue aside, I am very pleased with the umbrella, and I would recommend it.
