I was looking for a new desk clock that had an antiquated appearance to it to match the rest of my home office decor. As soon as I spotted this, I knew that it was perfect. It's very nice looking. It's made from a good quality resin but visually you think it's actually real wood. It's a nice large size and very easy to read the time from anywhere in the room. The fit and finish is perfect, and this arrived in perfect condition. It is quiet because I can't hear it at all, and I only sit feet from it. It keeps accurate time, which I guess is its most important feature. This would make a very nice gift. I'm happy with it, and it is a good value for a quality looking clock.

This is nicely weighted and has a beautiful aged bronze style finish. You take the back off by loosening a cover hand screw, takes one AA battery (not included) and set the time with a small turning wheel. The wheel is small and flush with the battery compartment. Once the time is set and the second hand is in motion it keeps time completely in silence with no sound of a bear turning. The clock face is also styled in a classic aged parchment design. This is the perfect size for our mantle and look amazing along with our other decor. This was a great find, very happy with it.

I ordered the retro Auafanzy 8" Mantel Clock to compliment two vintage candlesticks already displayed. The bronze color, Roman numerals and bird perched on top are all nice touches with a nod to the past. The first thing you'll notice is the size. Even knowing beforehand I was surprised at the size of the thing. Makes this clock very readable, which is great as my husband and I are Boomers (i.e. old as dirt, blind as Helen Keller). The quality seems good. There's weight to the item (and it was packed well!), the finish shows no imperfections and the detail on the body is nice. The clock ran immediately after I inserted a AA battery in the back. This is easy because there's only one screw and it turns by hand. I don't hear any ticking but know the clock is working as the second hand sweeps the face, so it's quiet.All in all it's a nice addition to our eclectic goth, steampunk and Victorian decor. If I had to change anything about it, the design would have been 2" smaller. It could look more like an antique as opposed to an homage. That's just me though and I'm very happy with this piece. It looks great flanked by vintage candlesticks -also sporting a bird on top- and keeps excellent time. Very nice.

This is such an attractive clock. I’ve already gotten so many compliments on it. It truly looks vintage. It runs on batteries (not included) which were easy to install. So far it has kept time perfectly!

This is a sweet mantel clock. It arrived with the face slightly askew (which bugs me so) so I took it apart to line it up properly. I swear the lettering or the Roman numerals are not printed lined up or square, but I managed to adjust it enough that I’m not constantly checking it. The outer casing is made of aluminum or a light metal and it’s not as heavy duty as I was expecting. The clock workings are plastic and paper. It was easy enough to take it apart and see all the various components. The back needs to be unscrewed and removed to put in an AA battery so it will work. I set it up on my bedroom dresser as it’s not large enough or classy enough to be displayed on a mantel, but it will fit into the decor of the bedroom well enough. It’s definitely not worth $50- I’d say $20/25 would be a good price.

This shelf clock is really good quality! It's all metal that's been forged and decorated. There is a lot of detail in the bird too, really eye catching. It also keeps excellent time and is silent. All you do is unscrew the knob on the back cover and remove it, then add a AA battery and set the time. Super easy! I really love this clock, it adds elegant charm to my display shelf.

Very unhappy. Am old and disabled and returning is very hard. Doubt I can fix this to be straight Do not buy! Up date. The company did the right thing and I thank them
