1) the reflective glass make it hard to read the time unless standing less than 0.5 metre away2) inaccurate time less than 2 months of purchase3) the material used for the clock face made it looks plasticky and less classy despite the glass and wood standThis purchase is disappointing

The look of this clock is great. The reality is something else. Looking closely at the works and stand, its not high quality. To top it off, it stops moving. The swinging pendulum decides to not move from time to time. Its easy to start it moving again. But it will stop after a few minutes. More than a little disappointed. I expected better from the reputation of the maker.

Love the style and design of this clock. It sits very nicely on our mantel and keeps perfect time. Like others though, I could not give it 5 stars because of the plastic used in lieu of glass. It makes it very difficult to read the time unless you're very close to the clock. I agree with the reviewer who said they would pay the extra $$ for a glass casing.

Clean lines, fine finish, and well constructed. Provides a good focal point and adds to the decor. Worth the price.

The clock looks great in the picture and from distance. Up close it looks like cheap plastic. It says with plastic parts, but it is mostly plastic. It is also very hard to read unless you are up close. The hands and the face are the same color. Great design, poor execution and materials.

Clock arrived on schedule and in *mostly* good condition. A scratch across the plastic front panel was disconcerting and the pendulum mechanism had a broken piece.Note carefully that it is described with plastic parts. This is very true. The plastic is akin to model plane parts, painted with silver compound. Which didn't stick well. In other words, the white-colored plastic shows where the paint wasn't applied well.I didn't realize the front panel was plastic. Grrr. But the wood is real and the clock keeps good time.Use care assembling it--yes, it does require some assembly. Anyway be careful with the litte gizmo attaching the round penduleum to the shaft. It was bent nearly in two pieces. Not by me.Over all, I still liked it but People, It is not, I repeat not worth the money it cost.

This is a wedding present for my grandson and his future bride. I was hesitant about ordering sight unseen, but when I received the item I was very pleased. It is beautiful.

I actually bought this product as a Valentine's gift for my husband. Yes! A clock, which he absolutely loves. He is building a wooden clock from scratch as a new hobby and I thought that seeing a finished working 'skeleton' model would intrigue him. He can compare the working gears with the wooden counterparts that he is making but I did have to insist he not take the new clock apart. We put the clock in his office at work where it constantly gets attention and praise. It keeps time beautifully too!
