These small round carbide cutters are sharp and have no chips or other defects. They fit my curved neck hollowing tool and are as sharp as the cutter that came on the tool. I can't say how well they last because each of my projects has been somewhat different so it's hard to compare, but I have no concerns about it.

My camera is struggling with these inserts, so apologies for the blurry photos. This is a set of 20 inserts provided in two boxes with individual compartments for the inserts. It offers good value considering that you get 20 well crafted inserts, and each should last a while. These are intended for wood turning handles.I have more experience with square inserts, but I can tell that these are well made. Very tight geometry, consistent cutting edges, and no flaws. The grind on the cutting edges is smooth while the grind on the side faces is medium. They are heavy in the hand for their size, indicating dense metal.I can't judge how they wear because it will be a while before I get a chance to use them on a lathe. For now they look and feel great and the machining was done well.
