I have a MacBook Pro Early 2013 Retina which for a while has been giving me battery issues, and won't hold charge long if unplugged, so decided to gamble and buy a new battery for it. This is not OEM, but gets the job done. For me the work I got it to fit was to lined it up correctly where I needed, test it out a few times and then I took out the adhesive from the back and laid it against the Mac softly so I could adjust it left or right as needed to fit the screws toby the connector (the piece that connects the battery to the motherboard). then I added simple pressure to the rest of the pack. Noticed on the pictures that the battery does not cover all the space at the bottom, there is a gap compared to the original battery, however everything else matches up.I did have a bit of trouble getting the connector in, notice your original battery how the connector wires are actually bent to let it fit down, where this , since is new, the connector wires all came straight so at first seems like its he wrong connector or won't fit, but what you have to do is easily bent them down allow it to the connector to fit/click in place ( just take note of how your old battery's connector wire is bent and try to form the shame shame). I used the small plastic stick that came with the package , to help add pressure down to hold the connector wires down while I bent it down with my fingers. Once you get that done and plug it in, no issues.Took about 1hr to full charge. (when I first plugged in it was charged showing at 66%). The instructions recommends you let it drain away to 2% (no 0%) and then do a full charge. Also the battery (as I mentioned above) comes with an adhesive which you remove and makes it stick to the motherboard (above the trackpad), however on top of it there is also a small plastic clear thin film, which you also remove after you are all done, before closing the case.see the pictures of the installed new battery vs my old all swollen battery. On a scale from 1-10 to replace this battery, (1 very easy , 10 very hard), I rate it about a "4" , however removing the old battery itself I rate it a "6". Do be careful when you remove the 2 middle batteries , do it slowly and carefully otherwise you will rip off the metal plate that sits between the trackpad and the battery. I mostly followed the advise of videos I found on line to use a string and put it under and slowly pull/saw left to right to help remove the old battery.

Using the MacBook to run Windows 7 for a milling machine. Battery is not really necessary as always plugged in but allows me to move the computer while running if necessary.

I recently purchased the A1582/A1502 replacement battery for my MacBook Pro 13-inch Retina (A1493, Early 2015/Mid 2014/Late 2013), and I’m very pleased with the results. The battery arrived well-packaged with all the necessary installation tools, making the replacement process much easier.Once installed, the battery performed excellently, holding a charge similar to the original. I now get several hours of usage on a full charge, which has significantly improved my laptop’s portability and performance. The calibration process was straightforward, and macOS recognized the battery without any issues. The build quality appears solid, and there are no signs of overheating or swelling after extended use. The installation does require patience, especially when dealing with the adhesive strips, but with the included tools and a bit of care, it’s manageable for those comfortable with DIY repairs.Pros:Good battery life, comparable to the originalIncludes necessary tools for installationNo issues with macOS recognitionWell-packaged to avoid damage during shippingCons:Installation can be tricky due to strong adhesive stripsTakes a few charge cycles to reach optimal performanceOverall, this replacement battery is a great investment to revive an aging MacBook Pro. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cost-effective solution to restore battery life and performance.

Woke up and MacBook was dead. After some research it appeared that the battery was no longer working. I needed a replacement quickly! So Amazon it was. I was a little skeptical of the battery replacements available but I chose one with a lot of good reviews. Ordered it and it came the next day. Took about 2 hours to install. It went pretty smoothly. After resetting the pram it showed that the new battery was working normal. At the moment it actually lasts quite a while compared to the old Apple battery and it also charges fine. So far I am very happy with this battery especially for the price. Apple wanted a lot more money and it would take a while to get back.

Original Apple battery worked for ten years. But battery expanded preventing touchpad for working correctly. Removing original battery wasn't easy but patience and persistence prevailed. Installed new battery. worked great. Seven months later and battery has expanded giving me same issue as before replacement. Battery has one year warranty. Tried to contact vendor by phone several time and was met with a fast busy each time. Tried to contact vendor through Amazon twice and never got a response. Don't recommend buying from this vendor.

Credentials- never worked on computersWanted to replace my macbook pro laptop battery since it’s been awhile and it’s giving me issues. Bought the kit expecting it to have everything I needed. The video in the listing made it look so easy. Though manageable, I had to find a few other things around the house:Need:Suction cup (to lift up lid)Tweezers to dislodge and refit plug in wiringGood to have:Adhesive remover (the battery is glued down. It does not lift up as easily as the video makes it seem)Other than that, I was able to replace the battery after watching other videos on Youtube. Doable, but definitely misleading if you’re working just off of this Amazon listing’s video and provided tools.Cannot yet judge on performance, charge rate, or durability yet. These are just initial thoughts right after install.
