About this item

  • 【Note: Manual Focus/MF】Please note: This is a manual focus lens (no autofocus/no AF/NOT original). You must rotate the focus ring(on the lens) to achieve sharp images. Aperture can only be adjusted via the lens's aperture ring. If needed, consider an autofocus lens instead.
  • 【User Instruction】This is a FULL MANUAL lens, NO Electronic Contacts, your camera will not detect the lens when mounted, that's why we can't press the shutter. Tips to use our Manual Lens: Set the mode dial to Manual (M).
  • 【Versatile Portrait Lens 85mm】As a portrait lens, the 85mm lens makes it easy to take half- and full-body shots. It can also take close-ups of faces. Ideal for street photography.
  • 【Large F1.8 Aperture】The large 1.8 aperture lens delivers fantastic background bokeh. Large aperture with pleasing bokeh to further enhance shallow depth-of-field images.
  • 【Compatibility - EF Lens for Canon DSLR Only】85mm F1.8 Manual Portrait EF Lens Compatible for Canon EOS Rebel T8i T7i T7 T6 T6s T6i T3i T2i SL3 SL2 850D 90D 250D 2000D 4000D 200D 9000D 800D 1300D 80D 760D/8000D 750D 1200D 70D 100D 700D 650D 600D 1100D 60D,1DX 5D 6D Mark II/III/IV etc (NOT for EF-M and RF mount lens)

Used in M mode

Use in M Mode

  • When using a manual lens, the camera should be set to "M" mode.
  • Since manual lenses lack electronic contacts for lens recognition, the inability to automatically adjust exposure values may result in photos that are too dark or too white. Manual setting of ISO, Aperture and shutter speed is required.
F00 display

F00 Display

  • Manual lenses do not have an electronic contact, "F00" is displayed because the camera is unable to acquire aperture information.
  • At the same time, the aperture information cannot be adjusted from the camera, and the aperture value F/1.8-22 can only be adjusted by the len's Aperture Ring.
Manual Focus (MF)

FULLY MANUAL LENS, no electrical contacts→ no autofocus→ no image stabilization

  • When using a manual focus lens (non-autofocus), you must rotate the "Manual Focus Ring" at the front of the lens to achieve sharp focus; otherwise, the subject will appear blurry in the viewfinder.
  • Additionally, the aperture can only be adjusted via the "Aperture Ring" on the lens. For optimal results, ensure the viewfinder diopter is correctly set for your eyesight.
  • Practice adjusting both rings to master precise control over focus and exposure.
Manual Foucs

  • Please switch to mode M, and then you can use our lens.

  • For manual lenses, you must turn the focus ring on the front of the lens to focus. If the photo is still blurry after focusing sharply, please adjust the exposure by ISO/aperture/shutter speed.

  • Manual lenses do not have an electronic contact, "F00" is displayed because the camera is unable to acquire aperture information. For manual lenses, the aperture value can only be adjusted with the aperture ring on the lens.

  • If the image is too dark, increase the ISO (e.g. from 800 to 1600) to increase the sensitivity, and decrease the shutter speed (e.g. from 1/250s to 1/125s) to allow more light onto the sensor.

  • If the image is too bright, lower the ISO (e.g. from 200 to 100) to reduce the light sensitivity, and increase the shutter speed (e.g. from 1/125s to 1/250s) to reduce the exposure and avoid overexposure.

Nice and sturdy, well machined, rings are nice n tight but turns as needed. Nice and cold to the touch metal part. The aperture ring has painted on stops. I think the figures should have been engraved on because they might rub away over time. Other than that one thing I love it.

Camera Lens are very expensive, so I was so excited to find one for cheap. BUT this camera lens is sooo cheap its really upsetting because of how much I was looking forward to it, on top of it running late getting to me

En realidad este lente de retrato viene a resolver una gran necesidad para la utilización de las cámaras sin lentes, para lograr fotografías de calidad, independientemente de su capacidad para realizar videograbaciones.

I had high hopes, but I took it out this am and shot about 100 images, a variety of subjects and going through each aperture setting to see where the sharpest f-stop was. There was none. Maybe it’s good as a portrait lens to remove wrinkles etc, but it’s not for my style of photography.I boxed it back up and returned it.

Bin Begeistert. Guter Preis.

Love this addition to our camera! It focuses so well and had self stabilizing feature that's so awesome! The price was very reasonable. It is so easy to use and feels great to be able to capture every moment!

Nice lens, took a minute to figure out why I couldn’t take photos with it, scared it might break quicker than expected.

This was the best investment since I shoot Old Skoo with no AF and always been Manual Focus from the 70's yes im old but seeing that many lenses get pricer and pricer I have no negative feedback on the lens it has giving me beautiful richness in portraits and Sports with proper settings on my Canon R50. I have always shot on manual settings with all my cameras. My lens came perfectly packages and sealed very clean and no issues from when i took it out of the box I have seen some complaints that there came in dirty but mine was clean and fresh out of the box ands look forward to mores lenses for my Canon R50! I would Highly recommend to anyone trying to save on the high end cost lense. I waited a month to post a review on this lense to use it for everyday shooting and have to say best investment ever made!

Image quality is fantastic! Easy to set up and use. Just be aware, you have to use the camera in manual mode, there is no auto focus, and unless you are at a very specific distance and zoom from subject, the image will be blurry. But when you find that sweet spot, you can create amazing images with these lens! I suppose that’s why they’re used for portrait (not action) photography.

The lens is nice if you are on a budget. It won't produce the same results as one you would get from Canon themselves but for the price, it does the job.
