They make a big deal about this being an 80 piece kit, and while technically true, I'll get straight to the point that matters which is there are only actually 20 potentiometers in the kit. It's in the description and photos, so shouldn't be a surprise, but I do think that the product title saying 80 is a bit misleading. The other 60 pieces are the washers, nuts, and knobs (20 each, one for each potentiometer). The potentiometers and knobs are all neatly organized into the compartments of the case, but the washers and nuts are just randomly mixed in.All of the potentiometers are a jam nut style, and all have three leads. Some of the pictures show 6 lead potentiometers, but none are.The leads on about half are bent out of shape, some have all three bent at 90+ degrees. They're not suppose to be, just a result in how they've been packed and jammed into too tight a space. They work as you would expect, they take I would say a moderate amount of force to turn. Tolerance isn't specified, but a spot check of a few saw up to 3%. So probably safe to say 5% at best.

This is a good set of potentiometers and knobs, and is probably the best organized set I’ve ever ordered. The way it is in the picture is exactly how it was when I opened the box! These are pretty standard pots with the inexpensive aluminum knobs (but at least they’re not the super cheap plastic ones). The gold knobs are actually gold colored, not orange (which happens sometimes with these). I’m very happy with this set, and would definitely recommend. 5 stars.

These are essentially resistors that you can change the resistance of. They supply a lot of values, which allows for you to have a resistance that is close to nothing when turned one way, and to the fullest extent of the "k" rating which is for kiloohms. I tested some of them with my multimeter, and they work as expected. The resistance changes as the knob spins. I think the way that most people will make use of connecting these is with the middle and right contact. This is where when it is turned all the way to the right there is no resistance, and there is what it is rated for when turned all the way to the left. This is how I believe audio knobs work, as when they are turned to the left there is a weaker signal, meaning that there is more impedance. Obviously, some systems are more complex, and I'm not an electrical engineer, so I can't describe how to wire them up for every scenario. This is where a dataset with pinouts on the pins would come in handy. I could read what they say and connect accordingly without having to just wing it and test myself. I'm sure electrical engineers would laugh at my lack of knowledge on potentiometers, but I probably know more about them than most people. Anyways, it's worth noting that they also come with washers, nuts, and knobs. This means that this is all you need to make them work aside from the wires, your device, and a soldering iron. You get a lot of bang for your buck with this kit, so if you know what you're doing and need it, get it.

The pots feel pretty cheap and stiff but for breadboarding and diy projects they work just fine. Good assortment for people just dipping their toes in electronics

These pots are single section so not for stereo. They work well, although not the highest quality they are better than I expected for the price. You get 20 pots with hardware and knobs. The resistance choices are the most commonly used ones. These are great if you build guitar or other musical instrument amplifiers. Its nice to have a good selection of these for prototyping and experimentation. The final build can always get expensive parts. I do this with most parts, its best to prototype with inexpensive parts then build with expensive ones.

Good potentiometers for learners and makers.Beware: These are not high-end pots for industrial or vintage gear. They are low-cost pots for student and experimental use. This kit is a great assortment for this purpose, and an excellent value at the current price. As an electronics teacher, I buy a lot of kits like these. In the future, I will likely purchase component kits from this vendor!
