ir pass filter

IR Pass Filter

All our IR lamps are assembled with IR pass filters which allow IR light to get through and reject other light source. They can make the light spread more even and protect the LEDs from sunlight damage.

Solid Power Adapter

Solid Power Adapter

Provides stable power for the lamp with built-in short circuit protection, up to 85% conversion efficiency. Also compatible with many other home appliances.

after service

Free of Maintenance

Once the lamp is installed properly, the built-in photocell sensor will turn it on at dusk and off at dawn. It's energy saving and there's no need of maintenance.

Warm Tips

1. Make sure that your camera is sensitive to 850nm infrared light.
2. Make sure that the illumination angle matches your camera's FOV. 90° illuminator normally pairs with camera of 2.8mm, 3.6mm or 4mm lens.
3. Make sure to turn off the "IR cut filter" in your camera which will filter out external infrared light.
4. Be aware that the effective distance achieved shall vary because of different cameras and installation environments.
5. 850nm lamp is semi-covert and NOT 100% invisible, it gives red glow which is invisible when more than 5 feet away from the light.
6. For OUTDOOR applications, please make sure that the PSU is protected by a weatherproof box and the DC connection is sealed with electrical tape.
7. If you need the lamp to work in the daytime, please cover the photocell with black tape.

I purchased 4 of these units. One stopped working but I wondered if it was because I was using it outside in a dry, but cold, area. So I wrote Tendelux via their website and not from Amazon.ca and explained and Jon wrote me back within 12 hours and said he was sending me a replacement (he also explained that these work in -25 deg C up to +55 deg C so mine should have kept working - ended up being a power adapter issue and not LED IR light issue). That was 2 days ago and I already received the product. Incredibly kind of them and yes this product works great, hence why I bought 4 of them. I have no hesitation recommending these to interested people!!

I purchased this light because I set my cameras behind windows. I found no downsides to this item. It simply solved my problem. The angle is so wide that I only needed one for both cameras. I also don't need to worry about any sort of configuration, as it automatically turns on at the same time as my cameras switch to night vision because it has a similar light sensor.I attached before and after pictures to show how much this light helps.

Huge improvement over the built in IR lights of the camera! This is paired with a Wyze Cam V3 and I was frustrated with the bugs that were attracted to the built-in IR lights of the camera, every now and then a spider would cross over the lens, or we’d have mods flying at it. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only is this eliminating the bugs because they’re attracted to this light instead of the camera, but because the camera doesn’t have to amplify the brightness so much, the recorded image quality is vastly improved. This easily illuminates my back yard area covered by the camera. If I could request one modification of the design of not just this, but all of the infrared illuminators being sold is to provide a curved surface. This illuminator has four LEDs in it but they’re all on a flat plane if they would curve the front left to right and spread the LEDs out this thing could have 120° or 180° field of illumination.

I bought this item for the sole purpose of using my VR headset in the dark. The IR light seems to be bright and covers my entire room. The lights reflect off the wall allowing my entire room to be lit while still in pitch black. I have it placed about 5ft off the ground level on top of a shelf. IR will be red to the naked eye but not very bright to the point it blinds you. You can leave the device on and it will not be too hot. There is no switch and the outlet I use is on a power strip with all my computer stuff. I had to buy another power strip just for the purpose of quickly turning off the device instead of going under the desk.**Unfortunately, since I keep it indoors in my room I cannot give any feedback to being waterproof.**Pros:*Bright for VR in pitch black*Doesn't blind the naked eye*Doesn't get too hot*Power wire has a decent length to work with*IR will turn off by itself when light has hitting the sensor*You can adjust the angle you need with swivels*Has a hole on the bottom metal to bolt down if necessaryCons:*The only con I have to say is not having a on/off swift to turn the device off fully.

happy with my purchase. it really works to play in a dark using oculus rift s. i am really satisfied.update: noticed that the ir illuminator facing upwards towards the ceiling is highly effective to play vr gaming in the dark. no tracking issues or whatsoever. i think the infrared light is spread the whole game area so that's why i don't get tracking issues. the only problem is its getting warm after a few hours of gaming session.

This is a professionally well done light. The packaging and manual is what you would expect from a 'homedepot' store - excellent- not like some unidentified box with no instructions. You also get the power supply - 1amp - so you don't have to hunt around and hope you have the right one. The light itself works fine but there are some oddities about it. First, there is a dark red plastic 'filter' that just hinders the IR light leaving the unit. I removed this 'filter' to get more IR light from it. Secondly, the led lenses have small bumpy textures as if tiny refractors to aid in projecting light, but my comparison to clear lenses tells me they are, like the filter, not as good as the clear lens types (you get from the silver finished IR beams with the same style you see sold on the internet). So they work but get rid of the filter and change to clear type led lenses if you have them. You will get the maximum IR light out by doing these two things. Finally, since they of the same style as the silver finished lights, I would add a rain shield over them if you want to leave it outside because my old silver light didn't last but a few months until water penetrated into the unit. Since this one is of the same style, I would protect it from the elements.

I got this to augment the night vision for our babycam at night. The light works extremely well! The auto day/night sensor is not as good as I would like though. In normal room light (ceiling lights on) the sensor still does not detect enough light so the infrared lights are on all day and night. Unit does get warm.

“In light” of recent talk surrounding concerns about night vision abilities of the new Arlo Pro 2 camera, I thought I’d explore and review a few third-party auxiliary IR lights to supplement the existing illumination already on the camera. After being a pleased Arlo user for a few years, I too found the Arlo 2’s slightly short on night lighting when compared to their predecessors. Before going further, let me make clear that despite of this minor shortcoming, I still prefer the newer Arlo Pro 2’s over the older models given the added features/capabilities that the new Arlo Pro 2 has. And now that I have found a more than adequate solution to fill the void of night lighting, I couldn’t be happier. And by the way, these solutions apply to any of the Arlo cameras for those wanting to augment their night recordings. So, here’s what I found. What they do:For those unfamiliar with night vision/Infra Red, we are talking about light invisible to the human eye, so not just any light will do. Night vision/IR lights with wavelengths other than 850nm will do little if anything to help the camera at night. It is also notable that these lights are practically invisible to humans/animals. At night, just as you do when the Arlo camera is active, you will see a faint red glow of the LED bulbs, though hardly noticeable a few feet away. Only when looking through the Arlo camera can you see the huge difference of illumination. The hardware:I bought three IR lights from Amazon that match the Arlo’s 850nm wavelength. I was also careful to look for the widest-angle lights – those with a 90 degree – to capture the most area possible, and the longest distance/most powerful yet keeping the size of the light down to a minimum since ideally these things are going to be mounted right next to the cameras. There were lots to choose from but I narrowed it down to three that represented a small, medium, and large size. I wanted to see how small I could go before losing an effective range of the light. Here’s what I came up with:Small: Tendelux 80ft IR Illuminator AI4 ($19.65)Medium: Tendelux 120ft IR Illuminator BI8 ($30.65)Large: JC (JCHENG) 131ft IR Illuminator 12-LED ($31.99)Each of the lights have an outdoor rating of IP65 or higher which means they are fine in the rain and even under the pressure of washing. They all draw 1-watt per bulb so the energy pull of each of the three sizes are 4watts, 8watts, and 12-watts. Each one also includes a built-in photocell switch that automatically turns them off during the day. They all come with standard power adapters (which need to be protected from the elements) that are very short, but I prefer it this way since you can Amazon a “CCTV 2.1mm 5.5mm” extension for the length you need. Something else notable is that the small and medium sized lights (made by Tendelux) have much smaller power adapters than the larger JC unit, likely making them small enough to allow a second plug to fit into a typical outdoor outlet (for those also using power to the camera itself). The test:Using an Arlo Pro 2, I tested each light independently alongside of the camera and below are my results. Conclusion:As you can see, there wasn’t much difference across any of the three. Only when I stepped up to the 12-LED unit did I see slightly more flood that could convince me to use something of that size. I understand that the results will vary depending on factors such as objects within the range of view, but I am satisfied to see that the small unit (AI4) is sufficient for my needs, not just because of its lower price, but more importantly its small size is aesthetically appealing. After all, I already have enough discomfort having cameras around my properties and the thought of added IR lights is about as much as I can handle. Granted, I haven’t had these long enough to witness their longevity and durability but they each seem solid and very well built. Personally, I like the Tendelux brand as the dark lens conceals the LED bulbs, making them more look like a solar charger than a light. So for me, I’m going with the Tendelux 80ft IR Illuminator AI4!
