felt like a little kids waiting for this and another piece of t-slot to get her, using it for a HPR (High Power Rocket) launch rail. Everything was nicely wrapped and boxed up and the rail looks GREAT !!! Thanks 80/20 !

I needed a rail system that would launch some home made rockets some over 48 inches tall. The metal rod and guide tube system worked ,but there was always a chance of CATO due to any number of minor discrepancies from the rod and tube. With this launch rail the rocket doesn't use a tube ,but a plastic wheel shaped like the middle of the rail. There is less friction and therefore less chance of a problem. The aluminum rail is solid and rigid. It is actually much longer than I expected (about 8 feet in length). I've used it successfully several times with no problems.

Great stuff, got exactly what I ordered. 80/20 stuff is great for making robust fixtures out of. It may be a little expensive especially when you get into the harware, but it is worth it

This aluminum is great. It is very rigid and easy to work with. Great for making quick enclosures with minimal fabrication involved. 8020 has great machining with very clean and accurate cuts.

I embed these in the top of my workbenches to provide adjustable mounting points for desktop tools. 2 of them in parallel about 10 inches apart provide plenty of support. Mount the tool on a piece of wood, cut short slots in the edges in line with the embedded extrusion, use 1/4 inch carriage bolts of appropriate length, use fender washers and wing nuts to secure your tool. Easy to do and you can exchange tools depending on your project. Keeps your workbench cleaner and free of multiple holes you would otherwise need to secure each tool.
