This is a what you see is what you get kind of product. Seem to be decent quality - not too thin or fragile. Fits perfectly in the litter box vent and does what it's supposed to do. No issues or complaints.

FYI: These are activated charcoal air filters designed for use with a particular brand of cat litter box.WINS: The good thing about these types of filters is how well they work passively. You can basically clip them or attach them near any area where odor is a concern, and they absorb that odor. These do just that and do it well! If you really need for a carbon filter to fit into a particular place, they can be cut to size.FAILS: These particular filters are a little on thin side, so they won't last quite as long as other thicker types.FINAL GRADE: A-

These were supposed to be Universal charcoal filters to remove odor for Van Ness cat litter boxes, but they didn't fit mine so they were pretty much absolutely useless. I would not recommend these items as described.

This marks the second occasion I've had the opportunity to review an item that I would typically purchase from a local store, albeit at the same or significantly higher price for a lesser quantity.Putting aside this minor gripe, the 8 PC 4x6 inch Charcoal filters offer exceptional value. Typically, similar filters from local stores come in packs of 2 for the same price as the current one.While advertised as compatible with the Van Ness cat litter box, I am using them on a similar-style litter box, and they fit perfectly due to identical vent slots and dimensions.Comparing them to previous filters I've used, I can't definitively say whether they're superior, but they certainly aren't any worse. Notably, there's no discernible odor emanating from the cat litter box.In summary, the 8 PC carbon filters exhibit a quality look and feel, effectively preventing odors in my cat litter box. The most significant benefit is their affordability, allowing me to change them frequently without breaking the bank compared to the ones I used to get.

Large charcoal filters had to be trimmed before use to fit my litter box hood. I used it for a generic litter box I got from Petco. Does the job! I just layered the pieces after cutting and inserted into the top part of litter box hood.Works great for what I need and hopefully helps to reduce smell of litter box. The gray charcoal liner was well past its prime and basically just there lol. The texture of these is a bit grainier and small flakes of charcoal came off when installed, but overall not a big deal. 😸

Good quality. Air flows through it well. I got these for use to filter air going into the fan setup I am building to replace the stock aquarium pump that is the air assist on my laser. Those things break constantly. Just had the 3rd one break, and I am sick of it. These carbon filters will be in a 3D printed box to filter out all the smoke that comes from the work piece when the laser hits it. Without these the fan would get gunked up really fast. I placed one of these behind the fan and turned it on. I noticed no decrease in airflow. I'm sure it slows down a little, but I couldn't tell by allowing it to blow on my hand. I will likely use 2 or three in series for maximum filtering of the incoming air
