I had high hopes for these but they didn't work on my wood shelves. The part that clamps onto the shelve doesn't fit properly. I found that the solid plastic dividers worked much better.

I’ve tried many different styles of shelf dividers trying to find those that work the best. Well, these dividers fit the bill. They are great—the best I have tried! I had to crimp the bases a bit to get them to fit tightly to my closet shelf. They stay in place and are very strong. They do an excellent job of holding my overstuffed closet sections in place. My only complaint is they are not well finished—they had some damaged areas, some metal globs, and some crummy over-paint. These average about $3.50 each, which is a nice price for these dividers. They will probably last me a lifetime.

The round base dividers worked well. I ordered more of these on my own, in addition to those I selected for review, in order to organize my sons’ closet as they worked so well to control the chaos. They keep piles of shirts from blending and melding with piles of pants and turning into a sliding, oozing laundry mess of messy mess. They also help where we have two shelves that are shorter for hanging clothes as an end barrier to keep things from tumbling into the abyss.You can adjust them for various thickness of shelves. Our shelves were skinner than the dividers came bent to, but you can use a towel (to not scratch the coating off the dividers) and some pliers to tighten it to the thickness you require and then slide it onto the shelf tightly. I just over-tightened them a bit and they wedged on nice and tight. This worked well.They stand upright well as they have a loop of metal that acts as a leg and seem to be a good size and shape. We used them on standard adjustable shelving that you buy at the hardware store.There are two vertical metal bars that are at the front and back and can kind of scrape the shelf, if you aren’t careful. You give it a lift to push it all the way back onto the shelf. As long as you insert the divider where you want it and don’t slide it along the shelf, it should be fine, but just something to watch out for.A little pricey, but they work so well for keeping everyones things from getting mixed up and staying tidy.
