I was really looking forward to using this waterer, but it turned out to be more trouble than it’s worth. The mounting system was difficult to install, and it didn’t fit my setup properly. Even when it was in place, the water didn’t flow smoothly, and I often had to tap it to get it going. The quality of the material felt cheap, and I was concerned it wouldn’t last very long. The rubber ring used to prevent leakage didn’t work well, and the water kept leaking all over the place. After a few days, the waterer started to crack along the edges, making it unusable. This product definitely didn’t live up to expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Easy to install in barrel, refill steadily, haven't cracked even though froze a few times this winter. Excellent for chickens...they learned immediately how to use them!

These cups are pretty good, and work well. However, the chickens do tend knock them around occasionally causing leaks, but we don’t have as many problems with leaking at the spout/hardware part. We have had the cups come off several times due to random occurrences such as their heavy feeder busting the cup out of the tote and finding the cup off randomly one day.Overall, the cups are durable and easy to install, but I think it would be better if they had a cover concept to go over the cups. We installed ours in a bucket and tote, but the tote has lasted longer.I would try the nipple waterers over these next time due to dirt and poop also accumulating in the cups.

Product came as advertised with all parts needed to assemble including drill bit. We used a 5 gallon bucket. Can’t speak on leakage yet as we just got them put together. Value for the money seems fit for the price and plastic material. The cups seem to work good. Chickens haven’t tried them out yet. As they drink the water it should fill the cup back up. The weight of the water is the determining factor for the refill. Concept seems good. Will update again if problems occur. Shouldn’t need to train chickens to use it like the other drip methods.

Make sure you don't drill at bottom of bucket because they will touch ground and be worthless. These work very well.
