These things are insane. I had no idea how much stuff was stuck in my sink and shower, and that is after having had more than two maintenance visits! These snakes are efficient, and such a great deal for the quantity and durability! 10/10Only con:My shower drain is old, so there’s a guard in the drain, like another reviewer said, and I have to take whatever the cap is on the tub wall below the shower faucet and shove the snake through there. Either way, the snake does what it needs to do.

This little tool works amazing. My drain was very slow. I did some research on Amazon and thought I'll give these a try.... And what looked like a rat got snagged on the end... I removed the rat and put the snake back down again and it brought up another rat looking gob.... Ewwwwwwww... BUT my drain works now fabulously.

For some reason I didn't check the size on these. They are HUGE. I expected them to be a lot smaller based on the item photos. We immediately used them upon opening and they worked well but they are sharp and I would recommend wearing gloves if you have sensitive hands or thin skin. They are also hard to twist once they are in the drain. They can go down pretty far and you can feel the gunk getting stuck to the spikes. They are sturdy and hold up well! We were able to remove all of the gunk and now our drain is clean and clear.

My shower drain was not draining immediately, so I used this tool. It's a nasty job--I wore rubber gloves and a mask. I pulled out a huge amount of hair and gunk, so water no longer sits before draining. I also used a snake on the bathroom sink. It wasn't as clogged as the shower, but I still got stuff out. I'm sure this saved me a $100 plumbing bill. I threw the first snake away, because it was so dirty, but I was able to clean the second one to reuse. There are 8 in the package which should last a while.

Thicker than I was expecting was a little hard to use on one drain but got the job done. Really no better than a coat hanger except I did not have to bend with plyers before starting.

This really works. Easy to use. Just slip the plastic snake, twist and pull up. Amazing how much "yuk" came out of the drain. I used it in my bathroom sinks, and tubs and now they are draining well.

Giving this 4-stars only because of one reason. Actually, they deserve 5-stars.I've bought these at the big box stores and they cost a lot more than from Amazon. Also, with Amazon, you get triple what you get at the store. So what's the problem?They work great for what I try to do with them. But I'm in an old house. 64 years old. Original bathtub. Original shower. Things were built differently back then. The drain holes are smaller with a guard on them that I cannot remove. It's a little difficult for me to shove these down the drains but with a little work, they will go down. I'm sure in newer homes they will easily fit down the drain. I also have the same issue with the ones I've bought at big box stores so it's my house, not the products fault. They do get the gunk out and the drains work quickly and smoother after using.The only thing I would suggest is that you use some heavy work type of glove when using, those little prongs are very sharp, like heavy thorns on a rose. So to protect your fingers, I'd suggest work gloves. Gloves that you do dishes with or for cleaning will only tear, so I use those cheap grey leather gloves you can get just about anywhere.Great value. Works well.
