Your cart is empty.Non-Intrusive ignition coil tester, easy to use and saves time. Instantly verify an active or inactive ignition coil by simply placing the sensing tip near the coil while engine is cranking or running at idle. During normal operation, an ignition coil creates an open magnetic field each and every time the coil is energized. By placing the sensing tip of the tool near or against the ignition coil, a blue LED will illuminate each time a magnetic field is detected.

Good for daytime too.I bought another one that isn't battery powered as well. That one's LED is visible only after sunset unless you make your own super shade (not possible on a cloudless noon though) - but would you be having misfire checkup needs at noon?Anyway, lol - this one's light is visible during mad daylight so get this one instead of the smaller pink one.

I bought this so I don't have to fiddle with switching my coil packs around to see which one isn't working. Just place it on the coil pack while the car is running and you can find the defective coil pack with ease.

It's very simple to use. Just place it over the coil pack while engine is running. The light flashes indicating that coil pack is good.

It works great and it comes with a magnet to test it's operation. I'm considering buying another one.

Had a misfire on cylinder 7. Used this product to test the coils . The product lit up on all coils , meaning the coils were good. So I used a spark tester on #7. Very dim spark. Could hardly see it . Replaced coil. Problem solved. Tool is not 100% accurate.
