I've had a shorter version of this for years that we break out during the holidays to take family pictures, but it had its limits.I had to find a table to put it on to have the camera at a good height and it was very lightweight and hard to adjust. This tripod is far superior to my old one and close to being professional duty at about one-fifth the price. In addition to being able to set it up anywhere basically without needing a table or platform to get the right height, it has other functions that my other one didn't have with only the phone clamp holder. The threaded adapter works with my laser level, similar to a surveyor's transit and will also work with actual cameras to be a true photographer's tripod and not just a “selfie” pod. When you set it up, you can extend as many of the leg sections as you need to get the proper height. There's a built-in bubble level to get it level on uneven terrain. The phone clamp adapter goes onto the threaded carriage, so you can aim the phone/camera up, down, angle and side to side with the handle which is more tactile and direct rather than trying to move just the phone and having it come out of the clamp when doing so.The riser section can be mounted in a horizontal position, which allows you to do shots of print media and physical photographs or close-ups by making it possible to get the camera lens centered and squared perfectly, which is something that's almost impossible to do by hand.It can work facing down, straight forward, up or at any angle in between. You can move out of the way to take the picture with the remote so your shadow isn't blocking the image when you take it.To be clear, this tripod is still lightweight and you wouldn't want to deploy it in heavy winds, but it is very stable in most other settings and definitely better than needing to prop it up on a table to be easily knocked or bumped off as with the shorter one.Everything works smoothly and locks the way you would expect it to, so no complaints about the overall operation and function of the tripod... especially for the price. It folds down and telescopes back and stores in the included travel/storage bag so that you keep all of the components together for the next use.It was also shipped and received in one day.5- Stars!

This seems like a decent tripod, especially for the price. I wasn't sure how much I was going to use one, so I just wanted something lightweight and simple to use. This tripod fits the bill. It has aluminum legs, although all of the other parts of it are plastic. The legs are fully adjustable and work very smoothly, and the clips hold them securely at whatever height you need. (Each leg has 4 clips so there is a nice wide variety of heights possible.) The feet are small and not very adjustable, however, so if you're planning on using it on very uneven or rocky ground, I'm not sure how well that would work. The phone holder works well and is adjustable in any number of sizes/directions - very versatile to use, no matter what you need. It comes with a remote to use with your phone, which I haven't used yet, but I appreciate that it connects to my phone using bluetooth, rather than requiring an app to use it. The tripod itself has a carrying strap, and it also comes with a drawstring bag that you can use. It is very lightweight and easy to carry. The straps on the bag allow you to carry it either by hand, over one shoulder, or backpack style.I do have a handful of minor issues that prevent me from giving it 5 stars. The clip that holds the phone is adjustable and holds the phone securely, but I do wish that there was a way to extend it fully and have it stay extended until you released it. It's a little bit of a struggle to hold it open and put your phone in place because it wants to snap back. (I do have one of the larger phones so it might not be so difficult with a smaller one.) The other issue is that if you leave the phone holder attached to the tripod, it doesn't completely fit inside the drawstring carrying bag. You can tighten the bag around the base of the phone clip, and it's not horrible, but it would be a lot nicer if everything was contained in the bag, without having to remove the phone holder. Also, the "selfie stick" is basically just what they're calling the adjustable post to which you attach the phone holder. You can definitely use it as a selfie stick, but it's not very long (and isn't extendable), and there's no handle on the end to make it easy to grip.Overall this tripod is almost exactly what I needed - pretty basic, no-frills but decent quality and works well. A solid 4 stars.

I love how easy this works in all kinds of different places and for different purposes. I've had no issues with stability at all.

Legs are thin and fragile. When fully extended I’m worried the legs might break or bend. I plan on using the tripod in very specific situations so it should hold up for me, but would prefer sturdier legs.
