I have 3 of these shelving units and once put together they are excellent, the issue I had is connecting the corner post with the plastic connector supplied. I found it very difficult to make that connection and one plastic connector broke from hitting it with the mallet, fortunately there were extras.

Quality assurance is a concern. The metal vertical pieces are not squared to 90 degrees. This makes all of the plastic fasteners either not fit or needing heavy modification to fit.The design of this shelf should make it a snap to piece together, but the lack of precision with the manufacturing have made this shelf a nightmare to assemble. It looks like it will function if I can get it together, but I would never purchase a shelving unit by this company again. I’d suggest you look elsewhere unless you have a need for self punishment.

I purchased this rack to better organize my 3d printers. I have been using it for over a month and can’t be happier with my purchase. Note that as you are building it, it seems like it is not going to be sturdy enough, but once complete it is a very sturdy unit.

Shelves arrived in a box that looked like it had been thrown around the truck a few times.Pieces had fallen out and were missing.I contacted the seller and they sent a replacement out right away. This is my fifth set of these shelves. They are sturdy, easy to put together, and have great customer service. I'll get a couple more before I'm fully set up.

This shelving unit is just awful, from a manufacturing point of view. Assembly is by ABS plastic Inserts, which are neither deep nor durable (they include a little plastic hammer, like when you were a kid in Kindergarten). The legs/corner posts are of steel, but the production process was so sloppy that they are far from square, making it difficult to insert the ABS plastic couplers they ship for assembly. There is no mechanism for leveling the unit when assembled. They include two wall anchors to attach it to wall studs, but as a free-standing unit it's too dangerous, especially if you have children/pets around. I had to purchase adjustable, metal leveler feet to ensure leveling. That means I had to modify this unit for it to be remotely safe. The slots for the shelf rests and rails are on the inside of the bent-metal posts, and you will need a hefty flat-head screwdriver to slightly bend these out for the rails and shelf braces to fit into. This is partly due to the out-of-square posts.I recommend that you also obtain some flat, rectangular, metal plates (about an inch wide) to drill out and secure at each union of the lower and upper posts. The ABS inserts, to attach these together, are very brittle and ill-fitting, and attaching outside metal plates to the union of both upper and lower posts will ensure that the posts do not fail (ABS plastic coupler breaking) when you put heavy weight on the shelves themselves. The unit is packaged very poorly; basically just tossed into a box with some thin, loose foam sheets. One of the shelves, made of metal, had several medium-sized dents in it because of this. What you will need to create this shelf unit the proper way:Heavy flat-head screwdriver (to bend out post flaps)Good drillMetal drill bits (for metal drilling)Optional metal leveling legs (need drill and drill bit to create the holes to bolt these on)Metal bolts and nuts (for leveling feet)Heavy duty pliers to reform the metal posts.Real rubber mallet to insert the ABS plastic inserts, after squaring the posts where they are insertedOptional rectangular metal plates to attach to the upper and lower posts, at the junction where they attach (again, requires drill, metal drill bits, and nuts and bolts). In summation, if you are not a DIYer or handy, creative person, in general, this shelving unit is NOT for you and is not worth the money they are asking for it. They state that assembly takes 10 minutes, and I am still modifying/bolstering my unit days after it arrived, because it was so badly manufactured/engineered.Good luck!

Have bought 7 shelves from this seller. Five 72x18x36 w/wheels and fences. Two 72x24x48 w/fences.The smaller units are fantastic. Best metal shelves I've ever bought and assembled. Really like the fences on 3 sides and all shelves. Unexpectedly came with a nice assembly mallet - perfect weight (it had some metal weights inside a clear cover) for the shelves and easier to use than my rubber mallet which is a bit heavier. The powder coated metal shelves are way better than the pressed board on my past shelves. There were one or two minor dents out of 25 shelves from shipping, but I just used them for a top shelf and nobody will ever know. Five stars. The larger ones don't include the back fences, which isn't obvious from pictures. The back fence is way more useful to prevent boxes falling off the shelves than the side ones, so it was disappointing to find out these didn't have back fences like the smaller shelves. They also only include fences for 4 shelves even though the unit comes with five shelves. If I didn't know how nice the fences were from the first units I bought, I probably wouldn't have noticed or cared. The included mallet with this size shelving was all plastic - it is pretty useless - but I had five others from the smaller shelves so it didn't matter. Also mallets are unexpected anyway and a small rubber mallet would do the trick. The larger size also meant a heavier box - too much for the single fed ex driver and so the boxes were more beat up by the time they arrived. The insides had shifted quite a bit and there were some broken pieces, but in the larger unit they included spare parts. One fence was missing a rivet. These shelves have no seller information inside to contact for issues. I had seen another review where the seller responded inside Amazon so I simply posted a one star review stating the issue and asking the seller to reach out. The seller responded the day the review went live and will be shipping the replacement part. The shelves once constructed are solid and stable. I've assembled many similar shelves over the years, so have the hang of doing this without help. It would be a lot easier with two people to hold parts until there is enough of a framework to self-support.There are some reviews about the shelves being flimsy. Assembled correctly they are very strong. You have to pay attention to ensure both rivets on the shelf support are in the slots. It's easy to miss the bottom one sometimes. You can test visually or by simply torquing the bottom of the shelf support to check. You also have to make sure each shelf is fully pushed down into it's slot. Very easy with a mallet. The one other issue with an easy fix - sometimes a shelf support or fence just doesn't want to get into both side's slot holes. For a fence piece, just flip it over. For a shelf support, use it in another position. Only happened a few times, but changing where the part was used always did the trick.Overall highly recommend. One more thing I really like - the hidden slots make these look way nicer than the open slotted shelves I've used in the past.

I ordered these for my garage and they are perfect. Very sturdy product. The shelves are deeper than most shelves and are moveable. Can also use the side rails to hang things on. And, the customer service is great. They are quick to respond and very personable.
