Note:
Before the gold and silver melt, borax should be placed at the bottom of the bowl to prevent the gold and silver from melting and sticking to the bottom. The melting bowl is easy to absorb moisture, and it is preheated and gradually heated before use to prevent water from chilling and bursting.

Wanted to use these to melt wax, but apparently because they are unglazed and therefore porous the wax leaked through onto my heat source. This created a potential fire hazard. Will buy something else with glazing.

Good for price but sides are a little low and the tweezers that come with it are junk and longer pliers and better if you don’t want to get burned

Bunch of differing sizes for what you need, did mean that the larger couple would not fit in my crucible holder. Thus, I could not prep them.Would likely look at buying again.
