I was expecting a cheap monitor that had poor display quality.I was delightfully surprised to find out that the build quality and picture quality for a monitor this size and for this price was in fact very good.I use it as a dedicated server monitor/virtual machine display when I need to access my server on a moments notice.

I mostly got this monitor to test systems display outs. When I need to test a system and see if its outputting a display signal or change system settings while setting up a new PC, this is what I grab. It's super small and doesn't take up a lot of space. The resolution is a little low but for the purposes I'm using this for, it's just fine. The display is decently bright and colors look pretty saturated as well. The display isn't the sharpest, things can look a little fuzzy at certain resolutions, but again this isn't marketed as a super sharp, crisp, portable display for photo editing or something. This monitor is perfect when you just need a display to test if you're getting a signal or just need a display to change or set system settings when troubleshooting. If you want a portable monitor for media consumption or to work on, you will want something larger and higher res. A good technician always needs a spare display like this though.

This is a nice budget monitor for general purpose usage. It's got a plastic build which is decently solid, and the image quality is overall fine. I'm not going to pretend this monitor is the best thing in the word, because it's not. Far from it. However for the price, it is perfectly fine.One thing to note for any photographers/videographers looking into this monitor: It wasn't designed to be used with cameras. While it CAN be used with a camera (it says so in the advertising), that's not what it's designed for. There's no integrated battery, nor is there a battery slot, so you'll need to power this monitor with a V-Mount battery with a 12V output (or something of the sort). There are no camera centric features built into the monitor, such as histogram. However, there is a standard tripod threading at the bottom of the monitor, so you can easily mount it on a rig. I was interested in this monitor because it was cheap and it claimed camera compatibility in the advertising, but just keep in mind that there are going to be some hoops to jump through and it's not ideal. I'm not going to take any stars off because it never claimed to be a camera monitor specifically, but it's something worth noting.Overall, I think it's a good mini monitor for the price. Even though it's not the best for cameras, I can see it being very good for many other applications.

First off, the instructions are virtually useless. They don't do much more than identify the parts and buttons on the unit. There's no info about how to hook up the unit or what kinds of devices it can connect to. All attempts at putting an image on the screen failed - all I ever saw was the message 'no signal'.Would NOT recommend this product.
