These look like they would work great. The carbide is even reasonably sharp (if it's carbide. Everything else is so junky I wouldn't be surprised if it's just steel). The bearing races are made with very thin steel and the fit and finish of the headings is about the worst I've ever seen. You can free wobble the outer race back and forth and up and down and they sound like they're full of sand when they spin. There are no directions and adjustment isn't obvious. You have to take it apart to adjust the depth.Probably food for a few holes here and there but absolutely unsuitable for any serious work.

I'm always building, and counter sinking various size screws is sometimes a hassle. This kit works great at most normal sized screws. Can't find any faults with it. May wear out sooner than heavier gauge sinks, but I'm not worried about that.

The kit came in neatly packed in a sturdy container, and the bits are of good quality. I especially appreciate the hidden mechanism to adjust the length of the drill bit as well as the depth collar, though that took some fiddling without the help of an instruction sheet. The depth adjustment can be precisely controlled by tunring the drill shaft while holding the depth adjustment collar. If you move the depth collar low enough towards the tip of the drill you'll expose a screw on the drill shaft, and you can use the Allen wrench in the kit to adjust the length of the drill bit. You can then set the depth stop by moving the depth collar to desired location along the drill shaft. One additional bonus of this mechanism is that you could replace a broken/snapped drill bit with one of your own and continue using this countersink kit.

Decent countersink set. Some gripes as others have noted, but useful.

I have already used the counter sink bits in this kit for a home project. They held up well doing a bunch of holes is laminate, and didn't crack it once.I will use the bits I'm sure in many more projects.

This will make countersunk holes, so in that regard it works and gets it 2 stars instead of 1, but the praise stops there. Each bit has a bearing on the end, which should allow the bit to continue to spin once the set depth has been hit without marring the surface being drilled. It does this for roughly the first 5 holes you drill, then the low quality bearing starts to seize. The first bit I used was completely seized after less than 10 holes, and the second was almost seized after 6. This causes the bearing to spin along with the bit and leave circular marks on your work piece. Luckily I was drilling unfinished wood and could sand them out, but had this been pre-finished, it would have ruined it.Worse, if you don't stop quickly enough, the seized bearing can also cause the set depth to increase while drilling, completely defeating the purpose of the depth gauge. The cutting edges on the bits are not amazing and don't leave the cleanest finish either. I was using them on maple veneer plywood, so hardly a difficult surface to cut.The case is also annoying. The cutouts are designed to hold each bit when set to the full depth position. If you adjust the bits at all, they no longer fit back in the case unless you return them back to the original position or cut the foam in the case to be a bit longer on each end.Overall this is a pretty disappointing product that is more likely to ruin your project than make it better. This review was for "6Pcs Limit Countersink Drill Bit Set with Hole Punch, Adjustable Depth Wood Countersink Drill Bit Kit, Includes 1/8"-5/32" Bits & 3/8" Punch, Perfect for Woodworking & PVC Edge Banding (Bits + Plier)"

There is an issue with the way this product is designed. The rotating section that determins the overall depth of the countersink is just held in position by friction. The plastic threads will wear out and initially this is overcome by the sheer force needed to turn the outer depth stop to get it into position. You cannot do this toolless and no tool is provided. Yes of course you can use an adjustable or open end wrench, but then there is the fact that there is no way to secure the location once you have dialed it in.On the other hand, the punch works to make discs from thin material to fill in the holes.
