Decent quality material by a bit thin. Still … sturdy enough for outdoor planting and placing on rail hanging brackets.

In North Texas, you may have a fall garden, so window boxes can serve as a nursery for seed plants in Zone 8. Have several plant projects going on, and you start in one container and often have to transfer to another container. The black window boxes come with tools such as a spade, a rack, and a shovel of the mini variety. Slots in the bottom drain away excess water. I have been playing with a bonsai kit. It grew fast. So, it needed to be transplanted before the partridge pea got too spindly. Into the window box, it goes in the middle with plenty of room to spread out. The black window box is heavy enough to let the pigeon pea move to the direct light stage on a protected foyer porch. You get two of the window boxes. The other one will be for a fall indoor/outdoor culinary garden, which will include chives and basil. Planted those but it takes up to a week and week and a half for the seeds to sprout. I have to experiment and see if enough light on the bar exists to put the second window box there for use in the kitchen. Seeds will sprout there now, but more light is likely needed for the sustainability and growth phase. That takes a plant light. For part of the year can be with a BBQue firepit this fall while I grill. The window boxes, even with soil, are portable.

Propagating rhododendrons, these were just perfect to lay the stems sideways to create a cascading effect. A bit wobbly for some reason though; thus, the for stars.

These are a decent price, but they are not high quality. The plastic is thick, but the bottom connecting drip tray is misaligned and not able to connect correctly due to fit issues. This leads to issues with watering and having overflow, and just looks bad.
