Excellent for removing undercoat on my Cavalier King Charles . I bathed and combed him out with a wire brush didn’t think I could get anymore hair but I got a pile of hair after using this

I was worried, because this was by far the most inexpensive one. I thought maybe it would be low quality, or wouldn’t quite work. But it works great! This is our first time having to strip wire hair from a dog, but I am happy to report that our puppy looks less shaggy, is softer to pet, and is probably more comfortable in this hot summer weather. My husband reports that the dog actually seems to like being brushed with this brush (and he doesn’t really love being brushed with his usual brush).

Needed this to groom my wirehaired terrier, but she's not having it. I tried it on her once, but now she runs away when she sees it, though she likes to be brushed. I guess she just doesn't like the feel of it.

I purchased this to pull the old coat off of my west highland white terrier, Immediately works extremely well and pulled alot of old hair out. Does what I purchased it for.

It helped thin out my dog’s hair and she didn’t even care that I was doing it. She hates to be brushed so I was surprised that she didn’t mind it.

I bought it to use on our rough coat jack Russell terrier who is extremely opinionated about unwanted grooming... but she quickly grew to not merely tolerate getting her coat thinned out, now she actually like it and will come over when she sees the tool in my hand.

This is basically a furminator. It pulls and slightly cuts the undercoat from the dog. The teeth are situated one direction and I had difficulty using it with my right hand. You basically must brush left to right only. And if the dog’s back was to me, the teeth faced in a way that I need to hold the knife in my left hand to brush toward myself. So if in the right hand I can brush left to right or away from me, but in the left hand I can brush left it right or toward me. It’s hard to explain but was surprisingly difficult.

It is a very handy tool, using it for pulling the fluff from my spaniel head or combing the fluff from the sides

Jack is our German Wirehaired Pointer (GWP). He's a hunting dog with two coats of fur. The underside keeps him warm and dry in inclement weather. As his coat grew out during his first year, it became difficult to keep him properly groomed. He does not require his coat to be cut however, it does need to be "thinned out" occasionally to keep him looking nice and tidy and remove the hair leaving room for new growth. This knife was the first and only one I have purchased. It's very strong and durable. Made from quality stainless steel and does not rust. The handle is wooden and is comfortable to hold when using.Caution... I was NOT experienced with using a stripping knife so watched a couple of videos before jumping in. It worked so well and easily removed the hair under the top coat. However, I was having so much success at first that I spent too much time on top, in the area just where his back meets his neck. I stripped him almost bald in a 1" section that has taken months to grow back. Ugh!Start slowly and carefully only one or two small pulls in one area. Best to take your time. Going over his entire coat and small sections of his legs could take an hour or more. Jack has never minded this tool being used on him. He thinks of it as attention, which he can never get enough of.Highly recommended as long as you go slowly at first to get the hang of it.

Works well, but advise anyone buying it to watch a video on how to properly use a shedding blade. It is great when used properly.
