This double legged shock absorbing lanyard by Ymachray is a very much appreciated addition to my fall protection arsenal. Most of my work only needs a single leg in that I'm connected to a rope that ties off to the ridge of the roof. However, when working below the eves or on scaffolding, two legs are so much more desirable because it gives you greater freedom of movement without having to reposition a single leg connection as often in those situations. The quality of this lanyard is very good. Frankly, proper safety equipment is a bargain at any price. I'm very happy to have this lanyard!Review for: Ymachray 6FT Double Leg Internal Shock Absorbing Safety Fall Protection Lanyard with Dual Rebar & Snap Hook |Heavy-Duty Webbing | Roofer, Construction, Scaffolding | OSHA & ANSI Rated (A-Shock Absorbing) 2410-030

I teach fall protection, as part of my job, and we cover gear inspection. That said, this item is pretty standard, in all the good ways. The load ratings are correct for the intended industry, and the rebar snaphooks are the better of the larger size (to go around 3" pipes, and still close). The stitching looks good, and the pack is well done. I would love to machine-test it, but I don't have the equipment for that, plus it would waste the product. In any case, the high vis color scheme is a nice touch, for construction sites, and, as always, no one ever 'wants' to fall into one of these, to test it. We just want to have the best one we can get, if we're going to have to trust our survival to it. This unit gives me the warm and fuzzies.

This lanyard isn't like any other safety harness lanyard that I've worn on jobs in the past. This lanyard is greater in weight and feels more heavy-duty. The scraps appear to be made with quality fabric, the seams appear to be double-stitched, and the hooks are large with tight spring safety locking levers. I feel confident that this lanyard will do the job keep us safe.

This fall arrest harness clearly is built tough to handle a dead drop of the weight of a large man. Every component from the large brass hardware to the thick and wide nylon webbing speaks to uncompromising quality. Thus I rate this product five stars. Currently priced at ~$50, I see that there are competing products priced a bit lower, but without a side by side in-person comparison I cannot fairly assess whether the value of this product compares favorably or not. But for quality I'd say it is great, and up to the task of ensuring safety in a hard fall. These newfangled harnesses have an ingenious way to ease a hard fall. A section of doubled up webbing is encased in a heavy shrink-wrap plastic so that it takes great force to pull the webbing through. A fall provides that force, but the plastic effectively slows down the fall to prevent injuries or just being jolted hard. This can mean the difference between needing the remainder of the day off to getting right back to work. While the only way to test this feature would be to provide such a great force, it would be counterproductive to test it as this feature is only good for one event. So while I did not test the feature, since it's function is simplicity itself, it is unimaginable that in a fall the arrest mechanism would not "work."The "double leg" system was confusing at first. I thought it meant one piece of webbing attached to each leg of the user. Actually the two "legs" go above the user, so he can attach them to two separate anchor points above. Two anchors provides some insurance. It also helps greatly in situations where an anchor point is not simply above the climber but far off to one side. Then using two points can create a centered anchor point where there is nothing to actually anchor to. Very handy feature, and even if a single anchor point is adequate there is added insurance in having two redundant lines of webbing to it.This lanyard and fall arrest system will be invaluable for my roof and tree work.

The 6FT Double Leg Internal Shock Absorbing Safety Fall Protection Lanyard with Dual Rebar & Snap Hook |Heavy-Duty Webbing | Roofer, Construction, Scaffolding | OSHA & ANSI Rated (A-Shock Absorbing) Assembly is a quality piece of safety gear. The nylon webbing and its stitching are heavy duty. The snaps are very good quality hardware that functions dependably. The shock cord provides certain peace of mind and reduces the chance of further injuries from an abrupt jerk in the event of a fall. The 6' length provides for plenty of free movement for working. The outer webbing doesn't tend to snag and resists frays and abrasion. I'm extremely satisfied with the quality and performance of the 6FT Double Leg Internal Shock Absorbing Safety Fall Protection Lanyard, feel confident using it working up high and consider it and outstanding value!
