  • The Internal Shock Absorbers are designed for up to 6-foot free fall applications with a maximum capacity up to 310 lb (141 kg) including clothing, tools, etc. with average arresting force 900lbs. Statically tested with a minimum breaking strength more than 5,000 pounds (22.2 kN).
  • The External Tubular webbing is made of 100% polyester Heavy Duty construction materials provides maximum security with breaking strength: 5000lbs. Applied with Anti-abrasive Hollow Webbing for protecting every connecting ends from abrasion.
  • Forging Snap hooks used on WELKFORDER Internal Shock Absorbing Lanyard marked with the “ANSI Z359.12” standard are forging steel material,self-locking with minimal tensile break strength of 5,000 lb. and a 3,600 lb. gate rating. Should be connected to the dorsal D-ring of the full body harness as a part of a personal fall arrest system.
  • WELKFORDER Fall protection equipment must be used by a Competent Person. Or the user must read and fully understand the limitations and proper use of the Fall protection equipment, and be properly trained by the Competent Person prior to use.

Purchased these to replace some older lanyards at work. These are nice, heavy-duty and work perfect. Come with a nice carrying bag (that I am sure is going to be lost shortly) as well as a safety inspection sheet (gotta keep this up to date for OSHA inspections!) Will be purchasing more to replace other older equipment.

These are well made and, weighing 2.5lbs each, seemed a bit lighter than another brand I tried. I liked that they came in a bag. I have not yet used long enough to test durability. All the construction tethers I've looked at had a similar drawback - My requests for the manufacturer would be to make a lighter version. With different materials, it could be lighter. (I believe they are manufactured to a standard, but don't understand why such heavy hooks are needed to support a human body.) It would be useful to have a shorter version as well.

I ordered these as safety lanyards for tree climbing. Much to my surprise they out weigh all my other climbing equipment combined.I have not tested them on a free fall, hopefully I never have to.
