Took several hours to remove the old motor due to cramped quarters and upside down under my coach. Finally got it out ordered the new one Friday with delivery on Sunday. Installed today in fifteen minutes. Lined up perfectly. Plugged it in and closed the door and then opened and the stairs work perfectly. Feel like a real rv mechanic. Quick and inexpensive fix to the stair issue. Five stars

replaced the stripped motor/gearbox with this unit, so far it has worked like a champ! easy to install, don't pay hundreds for OEM or a tech

This was a perfect replacement for my 2008 Fleetwood Class A motorhome. Great price, good quality, hope it gives me a few years. Don't lose your original screws, the ones that came with new motor were too long.

This motor replacement kit was a breeze to install and got my RV steps working like new again. It's a perfect fit for my Kwikee steps and saved me a bundle compared to buying a whole new motor assembly. Highly recommend!

This replacement motor fixed my kwikee steps. Jayco Redhawk 31XL (2014). The shaft was a little longer than my OEM motor, but once i slipped the gear onto the shaft, I was able to reinstall and the steps operate smoothly. ALSO--I had to reuse the OEM hardware, since the replacement hardware was about 1/4" longer as well. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong part for the kwikee steps, but I'm very glad to have working steps again. The motor runs quietly and smoothly.

There’s nothing worse than having a step motor go out.The motor came fast & I had it in & running the same day.The price was much better than an auto parts store if you can even find the right one.Amazon’s site had reasonably priced motors from the step company & it fit with no guess work. The challenge is to figure out which part is not working, the step light came on when the door was opened so I knew it was either the module or the step motor.I took my volt meter set to 12volts & connected the leads in the plug wire for the step motor & opened the door the power came on so I knew it was the motor. If the module was out there wouldn’t have been power to the step motor.

The step motor started to make a grinding noise when the steps finished moving. Steps worked fine bot I was sure the gears were going bad. This motor replaced the original perfectly. Works great and much quieter. I noted on other reviews that the supplied screws were too long. I compared to original screws and there are provided screws are 1/4" longer (too long). I reused the original but I did add a lock washer just for giggles. Probably not needed. Works great!
