Yes, it works as advertised. It slings the flying ring-wing, which is kind of cool to watch. However, irresistible it is not. Either one of my dogs could have cared less for the flying object. And one is typically obsessed with toys of any kind. Oh well, maybe my daughter's dog will like it as a hand-me-down. After all, that happens.I could see this doing better as a pool toy for kids.But the biggest gripe I have is the perceived value. This is not (NOT BY A LONG STRETCH) worth $60. I am saying this right out of the box, not even factoring in durability, which may degrade the rating further. And to top it off, not unexpectedly, it is made in China. Give me a break.I cannot recommend this dog toy.

After a month the green end of the shaft snapped off of the tube. Cannot be used now. Customer service was not helpful. They must be trying to make more money on people buying replacement parts. Does not last.

Incredible Exercise for my Yellow Lab!

The claim that the heavy duty rings fly 65 feet is quite a stretch they maybe go 20 feet with a serious wind. Pretty big let down.

HANDS DOWN this is the BEST DOG TOY EVER and we have given our dog son EVERY CONCEIVABLE TOY WE COULD THINK OF SO HE WOULD THOROUGHLY ENJOY HIS LIFE. UPDATE FOR JULY 4,2024: THIS TOY OF FLYING & SPINNING RINGS TRAVELING GREAT DISTANCES is still the best toy our dog son has ever had after over the last 4 years 6 month, or 1660 days to be exact! The only thing we've had to purchase have been 2 set of the tougher ring and 1 of the two sets is unused. The rubber band still works. The thing you need to do to save the rubber band is keep it away from LIGHT. The aggressiveness of the Dog is the main factor in how long the rings last, same with the launcher, which is why with our dog son brings the ring backs and drops it, we have the launcher loaded with the next ring so that gets his attention off the one he just dropped, and we kick it out of the way, so there is no possibility of him picking it up and chewing it. Never let your dog touch the launcher and be prepared to go retrieve the rings. We had to buy one rubber band about 2 years ago, and that is all. The rings are now discolored, but he still loves this the most of all his toys and we have purchased every toy possible to get for him, so this one is still BY FAR, THE BEST!You know how your dog will be so itching to play with a new toy or to go out with you in the car, so thrilled that he can't contain his excitement and he is moving in place just dying to take off running, to go or to catch the ball? THIS IS THAT GREAT TOY, even after over 4.5 years!! He is MUCH stronger and you can see all his muscles moving as he's anticipating running to catch a ring! He can play about 10 or so times of a ring being launched. Each time he brings the ring back, after he does his run in a HUGE Victorious circle around the backyard, something He ALWAYS DOES, he drops the ring near our feet and we immediately kick it out of the way as we hold the launcher high up, with the next ring in place and prepare to launch the next ring.When he has reached his limit as soon as you send the next ring off, he comes after the one he brought back already and ignores the ring just launched, so we know he is too tired, so we grab the ring on the ground and he goes and gets the last one and brings it back or we go get it and we put the game away in our garage, but where he can see it. HE STILL, after 4+ YEARS, every single time he comes out of the house glances over to where this game is kept and signals that he wants to play it! This amazing launching game of flying & spinning rings IS the BEST TOY that WE HAVE EVER given him! He LOVES this toy! THIS may be why people say it is Cheap. THIS is NOT a cheap dog toy, it is made to be light and easy to use and NOT BE CHEWED. To get it to fly it needs to be LIGHT and to use it well, people need something light, also, SOMETHING that is NOT too Heavy to launch. Things fail to be fun when they are TOO HARD &/or TOO Heavy.A HUGE success for his birthday present!! YOU will be SO Happy you bought this toy for your dog!!OUR dog will sit down with his ball or these rings between his arms when he is tired of playing and that is PRECISELY when your dog can be Destructive with the Rings, so it is best to discontinue the play before he is tired and just wants to chew the rings, or won't return it to you because he has reached his limit and do not let your dog ever bite the launcher, that is a sign your dog is getting too exhausted playing, too. Slobber does NOT damage the rings, being in their mouths and their bitting the rings is what damages the rings, so the problem with the rings is that people are leaving the rings in their mouths too long and this is why after you launch the rings, GET THE NEXT RING ON THE LAUNCHER READY TO GO, so that when your dog comes back and drops the ring they retieved, they are preoccupied with the NEXT ring they are going to chase! This is how you save the rings so the game lasts and lasts for years, you see?This will be a great toy for a long, long time if you only play for short times & not too often, like only once a day in the very beginning and less often after the beginning, so it remains a great time when you do play together!! It is NOT too expensive if you have had it as long as we have had our toy. It's up to you to prevent your dog from chewing the rings or the launcher which are the things that destroy the rings and launcher. Believe the feedback from the people who have dogs, who are absolutely crazy excited for playing with this toy! This is the BEST dog toy invention EVER, easy to use, lasts and lasts and your dog will absolutely LOVE it. It will give your dog the exercise he or she needs and such enjoyment! The greatest feeling is making your dog SUPER HAPPY and this is THAT TOY!!

I roasted this product in my previous review. I gave it 2 stars.I am revising my review for 2 reasons:1) The makers of this product stand by their product. They offered me a refund if I was not happy with the product. Subsequently they sent me a replacement.2) The product works.There must have been something wrong with the first launcher I received. I had ordered the extra tough spandex rings. They barely traveled 35-40 ft. I was disappointed to say the least.I got the replacement today. This time the package included the regular rings. I tested them like I did the first - launched it from one end of my TH across the room. With the previous launcher the rings barely made it across the room. I joked that I was concerned that the rings would shatter my window. With the new launcher and the regular ring I was in for a surprise. I really had no great expectations. I was expecting another disappointment. However, not only did the ring sail across the room - it actually hit my window pane with an audible clang! It was mid-flight by the look of things. And no - this is not window breaking material - thankfully! :-)Took it out immediately to test with family and dog in tow. My dog is a jumper so I launch it high over my head. This thing flies!! And it does it in style. It is satisfying to see it sail - reminds me of smoke rings.Now I have the regular and the spandex rings. So I was able to compare them side by side. The regular rings EASILY travel a 100+ ft. My little buddy is not a chewer and the regular rings are more than adequate for him. He is a big dog (100lbs CBR 1 year old) and I thought the rings would get crushed. But they remarkably retain their shape. The launcher and rings are well made.The spandex rings do not travel nearly as far. They are advertised to travel over 65ft and they do about half the time (they traveled only about half the distance with the launcher I received first). These rings are meant for chewers. Possibly good for smaller dogs that cant cover a lot of distance.Super important to order the right rings. For distance (most big dogs) order the standard rings. Your dogs will get an awesome workout! For chewers and smaller dogs - order the spandex.Bottom line is this thing works. It is a great product. There is nothing else like it that I know of. My dog loves it! And it is backed by a team that believes in their product and wants satisfied customers and works towards it.

It stated it was tough for dogs who are hard on toys. It is not a tough toy. Dogs chewed it and it should not be listed as a toy as an indestructible.
