I purchased this pocket door hardware, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to install it. While the kit did come with instructions, they were packed in a way that made them difficult to follow, and the installation turned out to be more complicated than I anticipated. The hardware also required a lot of additional work, including modifications that weren’t clearly outlined. On top of that, the hardware itself, especially the turn knob, didn’t seem very durable or high-quality. Given all these issues, I decided not to go ahead with the installation. I wouldn’t recommend this product if you're looking for something easy to install or if durability is a priority.

I used it to keep my kids out the office/beauty room. We used it on a pocket door .. it took so work to put it in the door.. 😩The door does have some scratches from the tools but nothing some wood filler and sanding can’t fix. Definitely recommend.

The product was great, installed it on a 1966 32' Grand Banks. Cutting out the door to fit this product was a challenge

Purchased this for an interior sliding pocket door. Very poor quality. Weak easy to open when locked. Very easy to jimmy open requires a lot of finesse when installing. There is no template for drilling and installing - you'll have lots of fun laying out the holes and mortises - not. Don't buy - junk.

*TLDR = looks nice, somewhat complicated install, not really a sturdy mechanism, where are the jig/template?It looks nice, but it would look nicer with a black key hole.The install took about 2 hours, it was the first time I’d install one like that. The hardest part is to align the strike plate high enough so it locks, but low enough to let the latch move properly.You can’t rely on the instructions because what you get serve no purpose. You get a drawing with dimensions of the lock......If you hired an handyman that took more than 2 hours to install it, you should fire him. I know my way around stuff like that but that’s not my everyday job.It would be a breeze to install with a cardboard jig of some sort, or a template, to get the measuring out of the installSo, I like it, but I won’t put that kind of lock on a panic door and probably won’t put a lock like that anywhere else.Happy to have it, won’t do it again.

This is more my fault than the item's. I adapted a 110 year old 5-panel door into a pocket configuration and wanted an edge pull and means of locking the door. I thought this item would fit into the hole for the old mortise lock and that the plates would be flush, surface mounted. I could have made it fit in the existing hole but the plates was going to be too thick for the clearance between the door and jambs. This would work well on a barn door but the installation might not be DIY for most people.

Nice look, nice finish, seems good quality... but know that : DONT TRY TO INSTALL IT YOURSELF IF YOU ARE NOT WELL EQUIPED FOR WOOD WORKING.Otherwise it deserves 5 stars for quality/price.
