The MT2 Over-the-Air (OTA) Module allows you to add a digital over-the-air tuner to your ViP 211z satellite receiver. This module/tuner provides the ability to integrate over-the-air channels into the on-screen Program Guide for seamless viewing. Your antenna channels will show up in the Dish guide just like it was a satellite channel, so you can see what is playing up to 14 days ahead. You can also record your antenna channels just like all of your other satellite channels.

I purchased this adapter to work with my Hopper3. It also requires an antenna, which I already had. It was easy enough to install, and it found a lot of channels when I scanned for them. Here's the reason I gave it one star. In the Dish guide, when you look at the antenna channels, it doesn't show any programming. It just shows, for instance, "MeTV" all the way across or "Catchy" all the way across. That's pretty much the point of having this thing, is to be able to record shows off the antenna. If you don't know what's on, how can you record it? Obviously, you can't do searches because there is no program data. If you want to record something, you have to do it the old-fashioned VCR way, where you tell it to record channel 36-4 from 1:30 to 2:00 and just hope for the best. It might just be the area where I live that doesn't show antenna programming in the Dish guide, and maybe this works just fine for other people, but for me, it's almost useless. I just unplugged it and stuck it in a drawer.

Plugged it in and it did what it was supposed to do. What else can you say.

I plugged in and expected it to do its thing. Did not work that way. This WILL work with Dish Hopper. I connected antenna and plugged in USB to USB on front oh Hopper. I then went to My Home Screen.(that's the little House button if you have voice remote. I than went to Menu screen and moved over to Settings. Open it and go all the way down to OTA. Open OTA and scan for channels. Save your channels and they will show up on your guide page by channels you saved. This thing works great. I hope this helps some. Enjoy. By the way, the OTA Device is slightly warm. I'm not worrying about warm as some devices can operate warm.

I wish the schedule listings could be more complete. But you can use the app NoCable to get a list.

This item is not a standalone item. You need to also purchase a Wally in order for it to work. I did not order the Wally because the wording for the listing did not state that I needed this item in order for the over the air tuner adapter to work properly. I returned it the day after it arrived. There were 0 instructions, but I figured out what needed to be connected to what. It did not work because I also need the wally thing and that drove the cost of this even higher. I felt that if a seller was so careless about listing and describing the product that I did not want to spend $114.46 for this item including the Wally.
