Before getting into my impressions of this solar panel I’ll say for fairness that I’m a “rookie” here. My only other experience with solar anything is a calculator or emergency radio that has a tiny panel built in. With that out of the way here are my thoughts about and experience with this S60 model panel. With no comparative experience in this area I can’t comment on the “value” of this panel compared to similar models. What I can say is my own opinion is it’s mid-grade quality and durability. My basis for this is my own water test demonstrated the panels water resistants, as the manufacturer claimed. Spilled water beaded up on the panels and the panels were dry when the water was blotted up. But that is of little use since none of the ports have covers to keep out dust or water. This is fine for perfect days, but obviously, not too useful for deep woods camping or multi-day hiking where weather can change in an instant. The lack of port protection is the weak point here since this is a product meant to be used outdoors not in a home or office. The panels themselves seem durable as do the connectors between each panel. The seem like they will endure being unfolded and folded for a long time. That said the fabric material on the back of the panels looks like if a sharp edge of camping equipment came into contact with it might scratch. I wasn’t going to test that aspect, so time will tell. Whether the fabric back is aesthetic or protective, I don’t know. The top of the panel that hosts the connection ports feels of middling plastic, not flimsy, but not super robust either. As mentioned the USB-C, USB-C, or included multi-connector cable port are dust or weatherproof and exposed to the elements. There is a hole on either side for a carabiner clip (included) or carry strap (not included). Oddly, it does not come with a strap, built-in or loose, to keep the panels from unfolding when not in use. Also not included is a carry/storage case, which is awkward considering the removable, but necessary, multi-connector cable that needs to be kept with the panel. The panel charges as advertised but in my use it requires strong direct light. I did not have any success charging either my iPhone or 20w battery bank using indirect sunlight either inside through a window or outside on my porch lying down. The only time either device indicated they were charging was when the panel was tilted toward the sun. In that situation the charge time was similar to non-solar fast charging methods. You can make whatever inference you want from this and how it might perform when camping or hiking. Finally, of note, it includes a multi-connector cable so that it’s compatible with almost any brand battery bank. The cable has two different size barrel tips, XT60, and Anderson. That is a nice feature, especially if you are not brand loyal to any battery bank brand.

I only say semi-portable because this is a lot larger than preferred for a backpacking trip or similar. For general camping use and as a power backup, this is perfect. It is generally water proof (I wouldn't submerge it, but have had no issues when left in the rain) and it has provided reasonable power to charge my phone, speaker, and general other electronics.I can't speak for the full 60w advertised output but I can say that it registered as a fast charge for an S24 Ultra. (This indicates it was providing over 25W but under 45W at the time). This can vary depending on sun intensity, cloud cover (it was a clear day) etc. but I did take into consideration that it's December/January.Overall, the durability and functionality of this solar panel leaves little to be desired and I have zero complaints or concerns. It is a great addition to my outdoor/camping gear!

First, let me say that I love the "form factor" of this device. It has several solar panels on it, yet folds up to the size of a laptop, and you can carry it in a backpack. That part is great. However, I don't know if it's just me, or the design: it seems to fall short of my expectations. First, it doesn't get enough power from sunlight coming in through a window. And second, when I tried charging my cellphone with it, the panel drew power from my cellphone. And third, I'm unclear if the panel stores any power whatsoever in battery cells on the device, or it it's simply a pass-through that converts direct sunlight into a charge to your cellphone. There's a single red light on the panel of the device, but I don't know if the red light means the device is in the process of charging, or if it has insufficient energy and needs to be charged, or if it's discharging power. I have yet to see the red light go out or turn green (which might indicate that it has sufficient power). The user guide seems to be translated to English from another language, and I can't understand what this excerpt from it means:"LED indicate: Middle LED, Red light once get light"Meanwhile, while the panels were unfolded in front of my window, I tried to charge my mobile phone with a cable that was USB-A at one end, and lightning port on the other. Although the icon on my cellphone indicated that the phone was charging, I saw that the battery capacity on my phone was getting lower, not higher, the longer it remained connected to the solar panels. This makes me think that the panel was extracting power from my phone, and not vice-versa. In fact, it's unclear if the two USB ports on the solar panel (one A and one C) are only for outbound power, or if they're also for inbound power -- that is, for charging the solar panel itself. Does the panel store a charge like a power brick does? This isn't explained in the user guide. As I write this, I have the solar panel connected via USB-C to an electrical charging source. The red light remains on, and it's hard to tell if the device is being charged through the USB-C cable. And I don't even know if this panel stores power, or if it's simply a delivery conduit for either sunlight or electrical power when you try to charge a mobile device with it. If it's the latter, then you might as well just plug your mobile phone directly into an electrical source, if you have one. There's no feedback on the panel about how much power it has available nor how much power is being output to a connected device. Am I missing something here? Also, there's an included cable with port adapters on it, presumably to charge other types of devices. But I don't think any of the cables connect to the DC port to charge the panel itself.I'm a bit of a "prepper" and I wanted this panel in case of extended blackouts. However, I guess I won't know if it works unless I go to someplace like the Arizona desert or Palm Springs and sit outside with it for a few hours in the blazing sun... and see if it charges my mobile phone, or if my mobile phone drains down, instead, like it has done when I'm indoors.

Perfect size panel to charge a laptop or a power pack when your traveling and there's a brownout. Be sure to get a 10 ft usb-c extension cable cause the panel needs to be in direct sunlight, but your electronics won't like it

I purchased this for motorcycle camping trips. It supplies ample power to charge my phone and GoPro in the campsite. It makes a great backup power source for everything including the motorcycle should it ever go dead. The included cable has connectors to most everything except 8020 female connectors that are found on some solar generators.

This is such a good quality item. You can tell just by touching it. I have a similar one from another brand that makes this one seem luxury compared to it. Purchased this to donate to the victims of Helene in western NC. Hoping to keep some lights on, maybe a fan if needed, keep phones and devices charging for those in need.
