Love this for snake season! Used to we had to exterminate snakes that show up in our outdoor buildings. Not anymore! We can safely relocate everyone, now.The quality seems good. I used it to catch a HUGE rat snake & it didn't bend ir dent. Great buy.

It’s copperhead season here and they seem to want to congregate in my front yard. Having this thing allows us to relocate them without using 14 different yard implements and praying I get the thing in the bucket for transportation.

Easy grab. I like the lock on the handle so that I can dispatch the problem without anyone else. The grabber is solidly built and super strong. I only wish the handle lock would operate at any squeeze. To lock it, the handle has to be fully squeezed. It worked find for this little snake in the picture, but I fear that a much thicker snake might not allow the locking mechanism to work. Still 5 stars though, since my hypothetical "complaint" hasn't happened yet.

We live in the deserts of Arizona. Snakes are a fact of life. Years ago one bit the dog who got to close. Thousands later in very bills and i got a bit carried away with Killin off the snakes that came around the house. I put a blade on the end of a long pole with a loop. Head in the loop, pull the cord, head falls off.Fast forward 8 years and without the snakes to balance things out, i have a massive pack rat problem. In the house, cars, RV, hot tub wiring! I have learned from my mistake. Now with this allows me to grab them from a safe distance and just relocate them to where i want them to be. I can pick them up and put them right in the areas where the most pack rats live or put them out into the wash away from the house. Has allowed me to save about 10 snakes that would have died otherwise already.Got this one especially for the long reach pole. Some others just are not long enough and I just don't want to get that damn close to an angry rattlesnale!

For a paranoiac beginner user like me seeking to protect my little 2 years old boy in our country side home...it was great, i got a very small baby snake the first time, and today was a 4 feet snake, it made feel so confident and i operate safely and got a full control on the snake.i strongly recommend and i am so thankful that i got it !its long enough, strong and light weight to make you feel so comfortable and confident to deal with a snake no matter what is the size and deal with safely.

Update: used this for the first time today, a baby rattler was in the neighbor’s yard. The snake was curling all over the place, trying to strike me. The snake grabber held tight, didn’t let the snake get near, and allowed me to dump the snake in the canyon. Great product. Recommended for anyone living near snakes.Original Post: Solid product will work well for capturing snakes. I had used a professional product for getting rid of a diamondback, but since it was borrowed, I needed a replacement. This is the closest I could find. The wires are hidden inside the tubing. The clamp is sturdy, and the handle is easy to use. It will slip under a snake and clamp down on it easily. You do need to be careful to maintain your grip until you are ready to dump the snake, otherwise you will drop it and it will be irritated (not good).
