These worked good. Had a little slippage on a couple of the wheel locks I took off, but really saved me when I couldn't find my wheel lock key

I needed to remove two locking lug nuts from my car and my key was worn out and wouldn't engage the locking nuts any more. I looked at multiple tools and saw this one. After reading many reviews, for $20 I thought I'd give this a try thinking it was a 50/50 chance it would remove one lug nut, let alone both. It arrived in a nice durable case and the sockets seem to be decent quality. Even comes with a knock out tool to remove the lug nut from the socket which you will need as this tool is designed to cut into the stuck lug nut. (I laughed at the reviews where people actually complained that it was difficult to remove the lug nut from the socket. Ahh...well, yeah! Also, some people complained there were no instructions. If you need instructions to use this tool, you should probably take your car to a professional in my humble opinion).Anyhow...I found the socket that fit on the locking lug nut and gave it a few good smacks with the hammer to seat it. Using my electric impact, the socket bit in to the nut and backed it right off. I had both lug nuts off inside of 5 minutes. Looking at the socket yeah, you can tell it has been used but it looks to me like it has plenty of life left in it. Keeping in mind that my lug nuts were torqued to spec and not over tightened, but I feel it would still work even if they were. It didn't slip at all when I used it.All that said, I feel this was $20 well spent. Solved my immediate problem and now I have a nice little kit for future use.

I had a lug nut seize on the wheel stud on a mini van. I twisted off a 1/2 To 3/8 impact adaptor. I rounded the corners on the lug nut. I ordered this kit needing the 19 mm socket. I used a 1 pound hammer to tap on the socket firmly. I used a 3/4 inch breaker bar with a 3/4 to 1/2 adaptor and broke the adaptor off in the socket. I was able to use a pipe wrench to remove the socket and remove the broken adaptor. I tapped the socket back on and finally used a 24 inch pipe wrench with a 4 foot cheater. I thought the socket or stud was going to break, the nut finally backed off the stud. the pipe wrench left some marks in the socket but everything else looked good. Used the punch in the kit to tap the nut out of the socket and socket looks good inside. Will recommend to anyone and will use them again!

I had a stuck, stripped lug nut on my wheel. Tried so many things. Ratchet wrenches, cross ratchet, glue on a ratchet, wd40, the screwdriver and hammer method. I was even considering one post about some dude loosening the other four bolts and driving around til it broke off I was so frustrated, but I went out, bought some extra tools to work with (those didn't work either. Losing a lot of faith that this was coming off... Then this part came in. I had little faith this of all things would work. I had just before bought a ratchet set that comes with two handles to grab onto, much like a cross ratchet that luckily fit into the product to combine with and stuck it on there. Much to my bewilderment, it actually stuck. Ecstatic that it didn't just shove off, I pull hard, and presto. It came of. It might not have let go of the ratchet anymore, but the darn nut let go of my wheel. Was planning to return this after trying it too, but I think it best to keep around in case my mechanics screw me over with a nut this stuck again

I have rounded security lug nuts. One was pretty worn and the key wouldn’t work on it no matter how hard I tried. Took a chance on this set figuring I could return if it didn’t work. Worked incredibly well. Gave a couple whacks with the mallet to get it snug, put my pneumatic torque wrench on and it spun right away. So happy with this. I really only expected to get one use out of the socket because I thought it would strip so bad on the first use there would be no bite left. Wrong. I ended up stripping my key nut so I couldn’t get any of the other 3 security nuts back off. No problem. I was able to use this recovery socket on all 3 and it still looks to be in great condition. One of my best Amazon purchases ever.

I used the 21mm on an impact driver to remove a locking lugnut and it worked perfectly. However the inner biting edges took quite a bit of dulling. This caused it to just spin on the second lugnut and not get a good bite. These should do fine for regular nuts that have rounded-off corners but aren't quite durable enough for perfectly round locking lugnuts.
