The hoops worked great I just don’t care for the color in person. We are going to cover them by crocheting twine onto them. Hold is good on them though. Good for our project.

I thought these were wood... they're plastic & the color is ugly but they actually seem more sturdy than wood ones and clamp together very well! Holds the fabric taut. The color is ugly but I can paint them... recommend

The natural wood colored ones are actually plastic. Not sure why I thought they were wood when the other option is rainbow, I should have known. That being said I actually do like how they feel sturdy in my hand. I was making an embroidered stocking and am only able to evaluate the hoops with fleece. They hold the fleece well. I feel like I got a good value. Being plastic, they will not split or splinter. They are a bit finicky on the tightening mechanism.

I have usually used wooden hoops but thought I would try these. They secure the fabric so much better. Holding it in place really well. I don't have to keep tightening it in. Good choice, good buy.

I was impressed with the pricing on this product since it contains several pieces. However, after receiving and using this, I'm unimpressed. The plastic hoop eventually "slips" and I end up having to readjust the hoop, as it doesn't stay tight, even with the thumbscrew. I never had trouble with the bamboo ones. They're difficult to find, and are very pricey! Our Joann store wanted $21 for the larger hoop in this set. I said NO WAY. So, I'm stuck with this set now, and am searching for a quality bamboo set.

Bought this to fix some jeans since it's hard to do without any support, and the different sizes allow me to adjust during the fixing process, including moving to a smaller size after making the first fixes. The needles it came with also helped fix the jeans since they're bigger and less likely to break. Highly recommend.

The ridge on the inside of the hoops works really well to grip the fabric. Much better than any other plastic hoop I've used.

I love these hoops. The sizes and quality make my needle work more enjoyable. They hold the fabric tightly and are easy to hold. The tightening screw is easy to use and is secure.

I like that this set comes with six different sizes as previously I only had a hoop that was too big for my project or one too small. This has 6 different sizes making it really easy to pick a hoop that will work for my project at a good price - at my local craft shop it would cost me more for 2 hoops as this whole set cost. They also tighten easily and hold the aida well.My only issue was there was a sharpish raised bit on one of the hoops but I smoothed it out easily with a nail file.
