I ordered these to replace a 3/16 double flare adapter that I had broken. The centering pin on the 3/16 adapters supplied with this kit are undersized, so they will not center themselves in the brake line. I tried several times but could not form a centered flare on a brake line. The undersized pin allows the flare adapter to shift to one side or the other, leaving an off sided, crooked flare. Not usable.I never had a problem with my flaring tool's original adapter which fit the brake line without any play.I have not used the 1/4 inch adapters.
